No one is saying it’s not a good thing. However you can be glad he’s gone but acknowledge it’s again, another bad look for the club. In isolation it’s fine. But it’s just another on the pile.

first thing I thought about when I heard it. just give us a season where a player doesn't want out or a senior player isnt pushed out. if it gets blore and leniu or a couple of players of that ilk in positions of need, great as we have two promising kids in his position. if not I'm pretty dissapointed , he's no where near as bad as what people make out.

500k for Hunt is almost as bad as Luai’s contract. That was a disgraceful signing. One year for 350-400 would have been fine. 500 for 3 years though. Just rank.

We have been very good at signing players to well above their value over the years.
Should we change our name to Wests Tigers Super Annuation ?
The idea is only pay overs to genuine superstars who are in the top 1-3 in their position, or to boom up and coming players to take a punt on them becoming elite.

Luai was overpaid. Don't think anyone else was really...if they were they are offset by the good deals we did elsewhere. Pipe down about this. It's utter nonsense.

Hunt was signed before Terrell became available & was seen as an experienced frontline prop which we lacked and found difficult to recruit. We are so lucky Terrell happened!

If thats what his on, its not far off being a more lucrative contract $ per minute than Luai!

We are spending virtually the same amount on our team that every other NRL club is, therefore our results, our position on the ladder and the fact we struggle to score a try when in our opponents red zone tells you we are over paying certain players.
That is common logic.

I would take Leniu, we need a momentum changer/enforcer type, we have solid forwards in both Twal and May.

Leniu is just not worth the coin he would be wanting but I agree we need an enforcer that can break tackles

Fletcher Hunt’s management have apparently told the Knights they’ll be playing with fire if he’s still not signed come November 1. One to keep an eye on.

interesting to hear the immediate "leak" from a few sources , luai told he would be wearing the 14 and potentially playing cup if he stayed on next year , with the priority being javon at 6 and latu at 7

Its a long long season for two rookie halves...i doubt that would really be feasible.
Be prepared for Douehi in rhere somewhere and Latu probably 14 again occasionally

Nah its not like our day mate, these modern day kids arent fazed. They will have to odd dip, but not too bad. I would back them 100%. Im excited

Here's an interesting thought, could've Luai been caught with his hand in the cookie jar trying to push signings for the Chiefs, would explain the swift reaction.
