Agreed he is very good for his age.

I have seen him play a bit this year and feel he is more likely a 7 than Latu as he talks a lot more in setting up plays as well as his kicking game and passing is very solid.
Latu has a great running game and deft passing game to put players through the gap which suits a 5/8 more.

The game against manly at Campbelltown for Wests magpies they combined well even allowing for Latu not being match fit due to limited football.

Future looks bright with these two if we can have the team stay healthy.

I think we all crave “ quality not quantity” but the mad scientist (PVL) is on a quest to rule the football world( not just RL but all football), so expect more.

Interesting opinion for Andrews as a half and Latu as 5/8. On your observations, why not?
Some highlight shots of Andrews he was wearing a number 4 [centre] but built like Doueihi, our NRL half.
He looks great with the ball, breaks tackles, a step, speed, kicks and passing all on display---- but some on here are concerned with his defence-----but typical of a 19yr old; And hopefully improves with coaching.
Half, 5/8 or centre all good options, just hope they pick his best position to work on.
Fingers crossed he is coached well and trains hard in the Off season. Looking good.
 
Hey does anyone watch a lot of Melbourne games?

I rarely watch them, usually only if they are playing the Tigers. I ask because I noticed Jack Howarth is unsigned for next season.

How do you rate him? What coin do you think he is worth? What positions can he play besides centre? He's still pretty young at 23.

Burst onto the scene but few injuries have slowed him up. He’ll pick up a decent contract as a centre.

If Luke Laulilii was on 400k then everyone in our football department should be sacked immediately and never allowed within 50km of Concord

I’d say he’s worth pursuing but not sure why he’s unsigned ?
Whilst we hope May, Averillo, Makasini and possibly Douehi step up could be worth looking at ?
But maybe I’ve just answered my own question ?

The football year starts Nov 1 … they save about 4 months of Luke’s wage moving him June 30…a third of his deal ..

It’s probably closer to saving $60-70k

What if he was on 250k . It’s all speculative. I believe Kade when he said it . It makes actual sense as we were light on for backs when Luke L left .

Id be surprised ,,,he signed that deal ages ago ,,,anyway does it really matter ? I’ don’t particularly care which year on the salary cap the money for releasing Luai is accounted for …it’s still money we do without ,,

Kid looks good , tall , fast and has a nice step , couple kg added to his frame in the off season be good for him , I would def have him on the bench rest of season in games like dragons , Eels , raiders , reserve grade is good for him but a taste of nrl in small hits also be good , Luai leaving and API slowing a bit we need to keep Andrew’s , Haywood , Latu in the nrl at small hits also be, Latu gets more time but in the half’s no more lock , hooker crap , play the kids where they normally play , Andrew’s in 2027 with Latu for me , they have to be given a crack ,
