At the start of the year I thought his brother was the stand out but Mitch seems to have come right on while max is languishing at the moment

The reason why they are doing well in cup is because it is obvious that the coach makes them play as a team and does not accept players giving individual performances. He will not put up with that shit. That’s why they play well and in many instances obtain the right results.

If the coach had his way and they let him pick his team each week rather then chop and change, they would win the reserve grade comp.

In our NRL team we have individuals who play for themself and some are just point stacking rather then doing what’s best for the actual team.

You can easily identify the NRL games where team cohesion was present and they played for each other. We either won the game or lost marginally but the effort and team work was there.

I think your choice of word’s abomination are way below the belt. These players in any other club would thrive because they would have the right support structure around them and the right coaching.

Looks like Saukuru may also fall into your category of abomination but he keeps yielding the right results in cup and is our best try scorer because THE TEAM uses the backline as they should to put points on the board. The ball does not get held up mid play causing the attack line to choke.

If Saukuru was given the chance to debut and the team keeps playing the way they are playing he would likely never see the ball unless running from our try line to gain yardage.

Just for your info, clubs like Manly have a one on one coach and player review each week where the coach identifies the good things the player did in the game and areas that need improvement with a plan on what to work on for next game. Goals and targets are set for the following week then recalibration occurs.

They also have a game plan and strategy each week. I find it hard to see any of this in our team but it might be there and the players are not responding hence the results.

You are completely spot on. I don’t see senior players being held to account for their long list of errors every week or their point stacking. These young guys play their guts out, don’t get the ball passed to them to show their skill because we have a “team” of solo hogs, and they have higher tackle efficiency every game than the seniors. But instead of rewarding them for their consistency Benji clearly blames them, drops them and keeps the guys making the errors that cost us the game.
There is no strategy or game plan. My 6 year old kid has worked out the Tigers plan ..:it’s the same every game. We don’t play to the opposition weakness. Frankly the coaches are not coaching. They are trainers teaching them to run up and down.

No idea if its right but i think it was Riccio who said on a pod this week that Benji when he was upgraded was upgraded to 2030 on a million a year. I couldnt believe it. It must be false. Hope they had a get out clause.

Gardiner never should have left, had our cup side in good form before Sheens brought in all the old boys “to add stability for Madge”. Good attacking coach. I think it’s too early to boot Benji and he should atleast be given next season. I don’t think we can afford another fallout. I’d be going chips all in and just praying that 2027 doesn’t bring another Galvin/Luai saga. Killed off both seasons!

The NRL allowed this, instead of going at Benji or even Doueihi the club should be banding together against the powers that clearly only show us disrespect. Even these blow outs honestly haven’t been as bad as the Scoreline suggests. It was 10 all at halftime today (taking away those clear 3 no tires). They need improvement ofc but the glue is more important ATM
