Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I didn't want Benji as coach but warmed to him over time. Whether the players performances are on him is debatable.
The biggest ongoing issue is the lack of resilience in the playing group in face of adversity. That has been an issue for a long time. Howto fix it is the question.
HBG and the Richo split. Don't get me started.

The coaches are not working.

Unfortunately we have brought in a bunch of club legends and now have to get them off side as they are not up to it. The defence and attack are horrible. Both need to go unfortunately. Flanagan or Gardiner are the best available. Make them assistant and if Benji falls over (very likely) in the next 6 months then we have an able replacement.

I am sure we have, but I can't remember a 3 month period where we have played worse since our inception. Pretty much 5 losses of 50 (or close to), and then two thirty point hammerings in there as well. Have barely looked like being in a game.

Flanagan? He just failed at St George

Different doesn’t mean better

There is too many teams, the competition is too long and we are the bottom feeders of it all.

Not enough quality players in the comp and our best players are not to the standard of most other teams but are paid well for the privilege.

We are a spare parts club for other teams and it won't change because the rot is too ingrained under a dysfunctional administration more concerned about emblem size, colour ways of the jersey and ensuring that Leichardt Oval games ard limited.

I just think he is a better coach. A bit more hard nosed. Team always plays with structure. Has proven he can do it. Sometimes you also have years where things just don't go your way. St George last year must of had half a dozen games they lost at the clutch....they have been fairly competitive over the last two years. Even this year, other than a Cowboys loss, they were in most games. As a neutral, if one team has copped more worse decisions than us over the last few years, it's them. Plenty of games they copped some howlers at important moments (eg - dogs round 1). His biggest mistakes were playing his son, and signing gutherson.

He is a grinder ., the game has changed since Flanno was at his peak and he hasn’t adapted

Don’t worry, Isaac Moses will be manoeuvering to have his man Shane Flanagan added to the assistant coaching staff through this Benji, AD situation. It’s written in the wind.

He just got Seibold a gig in PNG via his ally Chammas. Yes ally. Anyone who says they haven’t spoken to Moses in years on podcasts, it’s just to cover they are in bed with him. Same as Weidler.

Hiring shane and kyle would be the most tigers thing ever

They all love Benji? They don’t go out and play for him! By comparison look at the Cowboys last night, they love playing for Todd Payten and it shows in their gritty performances and will to win. That’s what a real team does, not give the bs lip service all time then go out and play like a pack of mongrel dogs.
The Cowboys select a team that he is bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic and more physical than the teams Wests Tigers Troy out each week.
Regardless of effort coming into the equation, our playing roster is simply not good enough for Benji or any other coach.
My major problem with Benji is he is the one that has put this playing roster together and continues to overpay some very average players.
No talent ID whatsoever.
