Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

At the right price, Tass would be an ideal depth centre & winger for us.

Daily Tele Sports Confidential: South Sydney have granted outside back Isaiah Tass permission to talk with rival clubs as they ramp up their bid to keep boom edge player Tallis Duncan.

It is understood that Tass has joined hooker Peter Mamouzelos in being told they are free to speak with other clubs despite the pair having 12 months left on their contracts.

Tass has recently returned to the field – playing in the past three NSW Cup games – after rupturing his ACL during an Indigenous off-season tournament in Queensland.

Tass, 26, has played 70 top grade games since making his debut for the Rabbitohs in 2022 while Mamouzelos has not featured in first grade since round 12.

The Rabbitohs need to make space to retain reborn fullback Matt Dufty while Jamie Humphreys is also without a deal for next season.

We already have depth players. We need players better than the likes of Tupou and Turuva so our depth players are actually depth players and not starters.

I honestly think we have no choice
Because we are poorly run. No way in hell Makasini plays half a season at any other club. We throw these kids in, they struggle through injuries, week to week grind etc. Then the peanut gallery on here get stuck into them, claiming they are all hype. What do you want them to do? It’s not like our playing group is dripping with leadership. We have one so called leader bailing for more money at the end of season. And another who refused to play the other week. And a bunch of blithering idiots for a coaching staff. What hope do 18-19 year olds have after all of that?

Stems back to our idiots who run our club , buy the right players so you have depth and the kids don’t get called up and flogged to early

We can all identify the problems but it seems no one has a solution - certainly not those who have the power - and as a club the players that are prepared to risk playing at a club who has got losing imprinted in its DNA is getting less.

A development club that has developed/ retained who exactly in recent times that has risen to any great height.

The coach and players cop the heat - doesn't matter which ones you choose to target - but they are all moving parts who are not responsible for what has happened prior to joining the club or after they leave the club.
It's getting harder to sell this place to anyone and failing at this club is almost guaranteed.
That is a club issue - that we continue to support so we are somewhat more at fault than any of the coaches and players that come and go that we point fingers at.

Richo was at least on the surface changing the course…

Think the Lualili brothers deserved better.

Kitt, more chances and Luke, more time to develope, both looked talents despite being on the smaller side.

We let a lot of good ones go and rush a lot through
We rush them through because we are desperate and when they don’t produce immediately we let them go. I wonder if Makasini will be the next victim of this.
