Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

So tonight Koroisau is having another stinker and worst tiger on the field, but he has one great game every now and then and he is forgiven
Api wasnt the one who missed 2 tackles with poor arm agrabbing attempts that led to 2 tries through his poor reads and physicality. Hope it was his last game in our jersey. Luai is a complete phony and a total germ. Hope hes gone, ill pack for the poser.

Australian NRL clubs could consider buying or partnering with Super League teams if the NRL takes control of the English competition.

The ARLC has tabled a $57m offer for a 50% stake in Super League, while several NRL clubs are already exploring what opportunities could emerge.

The Roosters have previously considered taking over Salford and rebranding them the “Manchester Roosters”, while Souths, Wests Tigers, Canberra and Melbourne have all expressed varying levels of interest in potential partnerships or investment.

Canberra CEO Don Furner said a partnership could include loaning players to England and bringing Super League juniors into the Raiders’ system.

Yeah the Luai/Solo hole in defence is a massive target for every team and was the difference between winning and losing. Luai is trying to defend for Solo who is a passenger and himself and is not doing a good job at either.

The Roosters would have smashed us if they worked that out too. Luckily for us they didn’t go there until the last 10 minutes.

Would have been 24 nil without him

Luai also showed enough pace to score that length of the field try that he was subsequently robbed of. I sort of understand some fan's raw emotions since his signing with PNG after our great start to the season and pay packet issues, though many still allow it to overly cloud their match day judgement of him.

I will be surprised if he doesn't substantially lift Parramatta next year.

Was very busy last night. Far from perfect but still having a real crack.

I rest my case.
May I ask How you rest your case? Are we labelled "So called supporters" if we are critical of a chronically underperforming team/organisation? Are we not allowed to be critical?

I used to feel protective of the WTs when reporters gave it to us. But over the last couple of years, Ive come to terms with that fact that most of it is deserved

He so bad
I think Benji gets too involved with the immediate plays and forgets he has a bench.
Needs an alarm clock [or an assistant coach with a clock] to remind him it's time to rotate players-even if they look like they are doing OK.
Fatigue is often hard to see, but it's there. The 1% that don't get done.
Sending players on for the last 10-15 min. of a game and expecting a miracle is a joke.

I think you're confused with Luai. Our worst player for the past month, if not all season.
He thoroughly deserves the humiliation of being dropped to the bench. Injury may rob us of that brief moment of joy in a crap season

Can’t agree with some of the takes on Api and Luai last night. Thought Api tried his heart out and definitely needs a rest during the game when we are able to carry a half/ middle next season. As for Luai, I thought he tried hard as well and his performance certainly made a difference to us on both sides of the ball.
We have some glaring weaknesses in our squad in a few positions and decent teams are able to capitalise on those positions on the field. Our best 17 goes a long way to improving that situation however we still need to ensure that we go out every week with an aggressive D focus and hard running attitude for 80 mins if we want to win more games. Improved depth in our squad plus effort and intent for 27 weeks will see us make the finals.

I cant believe no club has picked up Skelton. His tough carries are great, his aggresion is great, his speed is better than what people think and hes a good finisher. Really, he just needs to work hard on his ability to catch the high ball and he would be a genuine NRL winger
Unfortunately every time he gets picked, he plays 3-4 good games then 3-4 ordinary ones, gets dropped, waits a few months, then repeats.

Junior Toops is similar - I've been really impressed with him for a few weeks now, cut most of the silly rrors out of his game and is running hard, but I expect he'll be back to his old tricks soon enough. You don't bounce around 3 clubs in 2 years because you are consistently soild.

I would 100% keep Skelton as a backup winger, no issue at all.

And probably true on many occasions
