Yeah mate. They paid $150k this year & same next yearAre they still paying for him in 2027?
If so we would obviously be keeping him for Salary Cap reasons alone.

What about Da Silva and Luke Laulilli?
Both exceptionally good young talents who should both still be with us, but that’s another story.
Regardless our coaching did not hinder their development except for the times when Benji kept them sitting on the bench for no valid reason.
That's interesting. I heard something about a potential "big name" player sniffing around but was hoping it was a prop (like Moses Leota).club will talk to seb kris this week, i heard it was for a train and trial deal
a good source told me also that a david riolo client was shopped to the club to gauge intrest
if i look at the roster at titan sports, burton is the only one that makes sense, think we will have a sniff if it makes it to nov 1
skelton has an offer from parra
They have also done a decent job in developing Sione Fainu, Fonua Pole and Jahream Bula prior to their first grade debuts. Sione in particular they did a great job with through the pathways.Lachie Galvin, Talyn Da Silva, Luke Laulilli, Tino Tavana, Solo Saukuru, Tony Sukkar, Ethan Roberts.
Tupou has been better than Luke was for us IMO and I really like LukeLuke is not a first graders..yet …so I’ll reserve judgment

An improving 21y.o Da Silva scoring tries nearly every game he plays or an ageing and solid g Korisau.Would you drop api for da silva felt like that is what was being asked
So what are we paying him, 200k?Yeah mate. They paid $150k this year & same next year
$50k - considering he’s a back up that went on to win us games this year yeah good businessSo what are we paying him, 200k?
If that is again the case for 2027, it certainly is good business from a Salary Cap point of view.
I feel he could cover centre as well if we get hammered with injuries again, do we really need Seb Kris, on the fence.Tupou has exceeded my expectations…he might have fixed his hands problem ,,..if that is the case i would rather have him over Luke

I’d prefer Luke, but I rate him higher than most.Tupou has exceeded my expectations…he might have fixed his hands problem ,,..if that is the case i would rather have him over Luke
Depends on $$ for me, if he’s cheap sure. Hard to get experienced NRL depth nowadaysI feel he could cover centre as well if we get hammered with injuries again, do we really need Seb Kris, on the fence.
I’m 50/50 on the possibility of us signing Sebastian Kris.I feel he could cover centre as well if we get hammered with injuries again, do we really need Seb Kris, on the fence.
I think Tiny will have one of the centre spotsBurton is a class act, in the centres not at 5/8. Kris is a fringe NRL player. We can do better. There is much to be gained from having a big centre combination in Burton and Doueihi. Both are skilled, one a left footer and the other a right footer.
Need Coaching staff and system needs a revamp big time.I was Da Silva’s biggest fan here and they decided to keep 33 yr old Api and move on from him ! 95 per cent of the board here said it was a good call …
Luke is not a first grader..yet …so I’ll reserve judgment
look at Solo …he has been here for years and looks totally lost in defence …what have they been teaching him ? Not much
Mate Sione Fainu was pretty poor when he arrived in the pathways, nothing like the pedigree of his brothers and he was far from a certainty to play first grade. The club did a great job getting him there and he has continued to develop into a strong first grader. The 2 forwards have developed … post being promoted to the NRL … they were very raw at first at NRL level when they debuted … this is my point … most guys we debut are raw as hell…
Bula was at his best form when he debuted .,
