TIGERS EYE DOGS DUO AS HALF TO GO TO MARKET

The Wests Tigers are understood to be eyeing two off-contract players for next season as they attempt to play finals football for the first time in over 15 years.

Continuing to reshape and rebuild their roster under coach Benji Marshall, reports have emerged they have identified two Canterbury Bulldogs players as possible targets to help improve their team.

Answering questions on a Q & A on The Daily Telegraph earlier in the week, CODE Sports’ David Riccio revealed the Tigers are eyeing both Kurt Mann and Sean O’Sullivan.

A reliable utility and former Queensland Maroons representative, Mann would fit into the Tigers best 17 perfectly and could easily be used in a number of different roles.

These roles include being used in the middle of the field as a starting lock or delivering an impact off the six-man interchange bench.

Meanwhile, O’Sullivan would provide stability in the halves and help mentor the younger playmakers coming through the ranks such as Latu Fainu and Javon Andrews.

It is understood O’Sullivan is also catching interest from the Super League, in particular the Bradford Bulls with some outlets suggesting he is extremely close to cutting a deal with them.

As the Tigers look to bolster their roster, foxsports.com.au has been told that playmaker Jock Madden will test the open market.

This will allow him to speak and negotiate with rivals teams from November 1.

How pathetic, they need frontrowers not another bloody half, this mickey mouse outfit never learns.

What a rubbish article. Why would we sign a 34 year old, injury prone utility who will do no more than take up our cap?

Hard pass. Another player manager clickbait article.

O'Sullivan is the same. The Dogs are doing their best to offload their scraps.
Remember we are very poorly ran club, we probably would pay over for these 2.

PVL skimming money …and doing over China

That’s wild brother… you really hate the guy 😂
I have not met the guy, so hate is a little strong, but I don’t like is tenure as NRL CEO, his second part time job. And I’m hanging onto my wallet tightly if he was around. just my view Tom, he looks and sounds like a shonky used car salesman but he found a piss weak NRL to play with and from what I can see he is messing with it.

Ok mate … you’re entitled to your opinion …never said otherwise ….

if you think he is a dud though ,.I suggest you compare him with Gallop, Greenberg , David Smith, David Moffett and all the other goof offs that ran the game for the previous 25 years … at least the players can make a decent buck now …

Both Moses clients and riccio in his pocket too so this checks out.
..even more reson to pass
Thanks to Broncos,we have Madden next year for $100k...as a backup,he does just fine
We dont know what Latu is intending just yet for 2028,nor do we know whethe hes going to make the key 7 position his own.
Nor do we know whether our juniors will be NRL quality
Lots to sort...but journeyman senior Dogs discards wont help us
A standout like Volkman wld have been ideal

Losing Madden for Mann or O'Sullivan while paying Madden pennies on the dollar is insane. Very bad if all we can attract are has-been players... Why isn't our recruitment looking at young guns coming up who are not getting a chance at their current club? Stop buying old guys who are one injury away from medical retirement. McQueen, Packer, Ballin- all have been before.... We will never learn....

Recent experiences have me not believing anything I read from the usual rubbish journalists until I actually see it or it’s announced by the club. The crap they come up with is relentless and usually ridiculous.

And on the other hand, I don’t discount any rumour around player contracts , regardless of how dumb it would be …I’ve followed this club too long 😂
