I just asked google,

Might be why a lot of big earners are moving overseas to Dubai and places like that.

I think the interesting fact in terms of “the other extreme”point is the word “dozens.”

These are people who are multimillionaires, if not billionaires. When you have that much money, you can hide your wealth in multiple ways.

Are you on a million dollars? Do you understand how the Australian tax system works?

Sure there will be concessions and claims that can minimize your tax return, however the following rules will always apply.

No I’m not on a million dollars…
- I understand exactly how the tax system works.

I also know how successful people work, they’re not that good at something where they make so much money that they’re happy to give it away to a failing government who
Has absolutely no Fkn idea what to do with it, except pouring it into welfare.

Rules will always apply, as will savy investing and money management.

Did you read the last bit?
Zero tax is vastly different to half a million dollars…

I stand by what I said, anyone who’s paying that much tax is getting poorly advised, or outright robbed.
Settle down, mate. We all look at life through a different lens.

You’re entitled to your opinion, just like anyone else is.

All I know is we are up against PNG for quality at the right price but what I see is we are not shopping very well , so far Alverillo is ok and Brailey is a reserve / bench player who is also ok , we need 2 good nrl players and they should be second row and prop , we need damaging players now as I feel we have the rest covered if all goes well
Alverillo / May
Turuva / Tupou
Latu / AD / Andrews
May / Pole / Sione / Hunt / Bunty ? If he stays /
KPP / SamF / Seyfarth / Big Tony

How do we get an NRL second rower ro come here and play reserve grade?

Im not as convinced as most that our pack needs the work everyone is saying. We showed that our pack can dominate opposition teams. Its about maintaining that fitness and attitude. Its all attitude actually. Bloody Manly finished the year well with Jake and Nathan Brown starting in the middle, cos they had the attitude. Terrel at his best is a quality front rower. Twal at his best is a beast. Pole, Sione, Bunty, Hunt are all powerful and valuable at their best. Seyfarth is heart and effort. Sukkar and Roberts are improving depth options. Then our 2 back rowers are class in Sam and KPP. We have the pack, we just didnt maintain the attitude and got injuries. The team will cope better with those injuries in 27 if May can keep his form of the past 2 weeks. Brailey should start games to keep Api fresh and provide spark off the bench. We get to see Vaka Aho today, he could add that youthful leg speed and power.

We have the pack here already. We just have to find a way to keep Terrel running hard, get Sione to reach his potential (which is the highest ceiling of all our middles), and maintain our rage for the entire season rather than just 7 weeks.

The halves are the key. Latu and Javon need to be what we all hope they are. If they are, and we get a good run with injuries, we make the 8.

My priority signing would be a winger. At the moment it looks like Maka starts the year again which I think is a flaw in our squad. He should be in reserve grade earning his place back.

I wouldn't knock back a decent half like TMM or Ethan Sanders to add some insurance there if the opportunity came.

If a good lock fell out of the tree I would take that as well, but for me thats the lowest priority.

There is not 1 person in Australia who is on a million dollars a year and paying almost half of it in tax.
Not 1!!
I guess there is a massive difference between earning a million a year and having a taxable income of a million a year. If their taxable income was a million, the poster would be right with his post, but as you said nobody earning a million a year would have a taxable income of a million.

Yeah, I saw that.
Hes actually quite tall in person too.

I could see him becoming a good player at the broncos. Has the physical attributes to become a great outside back.

Surprised to see all the negativity around Seb Kris - he walks into our backline imo, on the wing, pushing Tupou out. He's a good player.
He generally runs into the ball at speed, something not many of our players do for some reason.

U forgot about twal

Tupou is better than Kris.
Very different players.
Tupou has decent size and power, but not much speed and is not a great leaper under the high ball despite his height.
Kris is just on six foot tall, so not overly tall for a modern day winger, but he is a lot quicker than Tupou and is generally a good leaper and good under the high ball.
Not forgetting Kris has played most of his NRL games as a centre, so would keep the pressure on Averillo and be a valuable NRL experienced back up if either centres are injured.
Not forgetting Averillo has always been a bit inconsistent throughout his career, so if he is our starting right centre we need serious competition for his position to keep him honest and If someone like Kris was playing too well to leave out of the centres, Averillo could play on the wing.
As much as Herbert rips in and does his best, he is far too slow to be a good to high quality NRL centre against top class opposition. He is ok if he is our 4th or 5th choice centre, but we will again struggle scoring points if we have to rely on him as one of our centres too often in 2027.
He also gets cought out defensively for speed against top quality opposing centres.
Herbert always plays tough and could be an option to play a bit of back row next season.
