Jackson Ford would be perfect. I've wanted him here for years, but with Barnett leaving they will probably hold onto him.
He has already extended there though the end of 2029…

We've never had a depth issue at five eight. Technically now we have latu javon and douhei who are all 6's. We lack the true katoa/cleary controlling 7. As much as I love luke and wish we saw him stay at 6, it would give us more headaches and much of the sameBrooks played so much better at 5/8 , and the one thing brooks brings is he is a very good defender
I can see your point, but I see enough upside to think he will improve significantly in 2027 and significantly again in 2028.Makasini ? No chance … I’m hoping he is an adequate first grader come then
Only if they provide something a bit different to what we already have.I’m glad you have finally seen the light and recognise we need another middle
Latrell wouldn't come here...we offered him a $1m+ deal before he signed with souths and he knocked us back...Pass for mineLatrell can do things very few players in the history of the game can do... he also has a terrible injury history, inconsistent attitude and comes with his very own media circus (some justified, some not). He is not what we need right now.
We need consistent, professional, hard nosed first graders to build out the squad
Patrick Mago at Wigan reportedly (The Mole) wants to return to Australia. Not sure whether he is suited to the fast speed of today's game but he'd certainly provide impact. Please start taking about what we need , that’s forwards with mongrel , we need two that can cover prop and backrow , I don’t care if there in there late 20’s
I can only think that ongoing negotiations are happening with a few of the players whose contracts have currently expired. No other reason not to publish and thank departing players.Did anyone go to the Gala Awards last night?
Nothing published about NSW Cup or Jersey Flegg POYs or departing players on the website or in the media.
Can almost guarantee the club has no interest in Latrell
Anybody remember the circus when the Tigers tried to sign Latrell the first time (thats how we ended up with Adam Doueihi - Wayne Bennett had to make room at Souths for Latrell). The fiasco lasted for months with the will he or won't he. No thanks....Surely not.
Great player when fit and playing with the right attitude, but his care factor would be zero if playing for us.

It seems that way MF. Here is our list of uncontracted players ...I can only think that ongoing negotiations are happening with a few of the players whose contracts have currently expired. No other reason not to publish and thank departing players.
Word.
I can't stand Latrell and I just saw a post saying all these way better players at the Dolphins are off contract.
Latrell won't be cheap and won't provide value with how much time he is out injured and suspended. He won't be as protected here as he is at South's also.
Latrell would be a great move, gun player when fit.Kreepy Krawley thinks Tigers might pay overs for Latrell …of course he also thinks Souths shouldnt do it..
Unlike people pipedreaming about paying Dearden $1.5 m …I can see the tigers being much more likely to bring Latrell here on $1.1m a year to play a dozen games a year at Center ..it’s kinda a move they would make

We are currently at 24 players in top 30 & 5 players on Dev deals for 2027 (provided CTM & Godinet are Devs). So we have room for 6 + 1.
Latrell would be a great move, gun player when fit.
