Been very inactive but I saw talks in here sometime in the last week or two. Could’ve been talk about the first time we tried to sign him tho

Probably me speculating that signing an over the hill, often injured Mitchell on big money , would be the sort of move they tend to make over the years… maybe the new guy is different and will build through less splashy means ,,

So far this is what our NRL and Cup(depth) squad is looking like for next season based on confirmed signings. The starting 13-17 looks strong enough and did the job early this season, but when injuries hit and the back end of the roster had to stand up is when we fell apart.

We are definite need in a couple more middles and overall depth in the forwards. Frizell would be a good addition on the bench/depth. Retaining Skelton on a cheap deal would also be ideal, but hopefully we can add a NRL calibre forward to the squad and reliable depth players to round out the top 30 for next season

I'd prefer more Troll talk over Trell talk.

Big call I know, but that is how much I dislike him.

Reluctant to use the "H" word because that seems to be a big deal these days but I'm sure you get my drift.

I really hope Souffs keep him and over pay him for the limited amount of positive input he provides and here is hoping that he keeps letting them down due to lack of fitness, suspensions and brain explosions at key times.

I think Latrell doesn't love footy or money enough - if it came to that- to play at WTs - he didn't last time. The Chiefs might take a punt on him cause he would be a marketing bonanza but then again he is not a lock up in a compound kind of guy either.
No doubt his monetary value is not anywhere near what it was to stay at Souths and or any other club for that matter.
For all that hate him he still is great to watch and as an individual does things that plenty can't.

I'm on your line of thinking BD. Think that experienced back-up centre/wing could be Seb Kris or Isaiah Tass.

Tass would probably be subsidised a bit by the Rabbits (as they have given him permission to explore so they can free up some cap) so he could be a Madden-like money ball option.

The longer we can give guys like CTM, Duncombe, Godinet to develop in cup rather than prematurely throwing them in first grade the better, but that will require a little bit more recruitment. Even Andrews and Makasini who are a little further along need to be protected.

The Brailey signing is a really good sign that the club recognises this too.

Get rid of Douhie

Latrell in the centres would be great with Averillo pushed to wing

with backup of makasini, herbert, sakuru

with that backline you could run with Fainu and Andrews and potentially brooks on the cheap on the bench.

That backline would be a top 8 backline

Problem is what would Latrell want 1.2 million ?
