AD - imo - plays like the best player in school boy footy team - tries to do it all when things are going well and when its not goes missing and or gets dirty at every one around him without owning his own failings. Im not convinced that attitude is easily changed for him at this club, unless the team consistently begins to fire.

This might be a fair observation if he had only started playing selfish footy on his current contract. A few years back he was reportedly on about $650k and still playing the same selfish footy.

If I had to make up a reason why (other than him being a selfish player generally), I'd say it comes back to his high school days. He is one of the few regular first graders that didn't come through one of the top school programs. He didn't have the quality around him that most did, so he often would of had to go himself. This play has been ingrained in him to the point we still see it today (though I think more likely just a selfish footballer, rather than anything to do with junior days).

I actually think he is like that because he cant ball play. Its unnatural to him. Most natural ball players get off on putting someone through a hole rather than themselves making the break because its what comes so naturally to them. AD's ball playing is forced. What feels naturally to him is to run, so thats what he does. It blows my mind that the guy won't accept playing a position that plays to his strength.

Doueihi is in our starting 13 every week because he is one of our better players. There are few players in our team that can create or seize attacking opportunity as well as Doueihi does.

True just not as a halfback. Can’t tell him that though 🙄
