Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The article says that the Tigers are interested not that we've already signed him. I hope we don't sign him, there are much better options.

Not endorsing either personally, but you'd think we'd be having a talk with Dugan and Hayne.

They are both gun fullbacks but I think Cleary plan is to fill the roster with solid first graders and very few in big dollars. Team unity can collapse with seven figure players that don't deliver.

It would be interesting having a team that is just like 30 rostered first grade quality players. The competition for spots and depth would be really good but you really do need a superstar or two imo.

This is an excellent point you raise. In many ways the departure of the dynamic duo and Moses is a bonus for Cleary in his team building. Not many clubs can boast of having a team virtually built from a core of 7 or 8 players.

The Roosters have got Watson, Keary, Mitchell, Manu and Tedesco all signed for next year. They've also got Gordon, Tupou, Ferguson and SKD off-contract. Somethings gotta give, I really doubt the first 5 will all be in first grade at the same time. They're also not gonna wait around to only get picked when someone else is injured and spend the majority of their time in reserves.

It is indeed. The dynamic duo have made it abundantly clear what they think of their teammates. You would have to think that attitude was evident before they spelled it out in public. A team of equals (more or less) appeals.

Playing for each other is assisted when the team need to rely on everyone performing to their pay packet to win.
Stars need to emerge from the team or added when the squad is built. I like the strategy.

What happened to Kyle Feldt? He still hasn't re-signed. He's 191cm and 105kg. He'd be really good pick up if he's willing to leave Queensland.

Can't find the article it was in, think it was market watch on Foxsports from memory. Saying he wants $350k and cows don't want to pay him that.

Hearing him on the news tonight sounds like hopoate wants to stay at belmore….the Bulldogs management will miraculously find room in their inflated cap for another rep player

Joey made the pitch to get him to Newcastle. Lets get together, the two of us over a gram of cocaine.
