Because we sign crap…nothing will change here

It's honestly frustrating We have so much money, yet we are going after guys like Fonua, Thompson and Ottio. I understand that quite a bit of money has been spent already, but surely we should be looking at other options that are at least playing in NRL level? Hoppa, Chambers, Gagai? They were all on the market for our taking.

There's a reason Fonua, Thompson and Ottio aren't playing at NRL level yet. Our club will forever settle on reserve grade standard players in the hopes that they come good. And in the rare instance that one of those players do come good, they get poached by other NRL clubs… (Addo-Carr, Koroibete, Austin, Taupau, etc)

Incorrect - the 4 you named did not want to stay.

Pretty sure Addo-Carr and Taupau wanted to stay but we couldn't place a competitive offer and we let Austin go to keep Moses. Nevertheless, proves my point even further. We bank on youngsters and reserve graders until they come good, and when they do we either can't afford their new value, or they want to move onto a more prestigious club. Then the cycle continues, we buy more reserve graders and youngsters… We never learn

We are basically a feeder club now bussy

SMH reporting the dogs wanted the cap raised at meeting during the week, other clubs voted to keep cap at a managable level. The dogs signed Brown from the sharks during the week, now not counting Reynolds and Hoppa who are off contract, will need to shed 1 million.
Story says Eastwood, Mbye, Graham and Morris boys are named being bandied around. We should try and get both Morris boys, that would fix a heap of issues.

Good to see the dogs up against it.

The word is Luke Lewis wants to play on, he is 33 and still going great, the sharks can't afford him, for 1 year he would be great to have

He would be ideal 851….but im hearing Rooster....surprized??

The Morris boys would be perfect. Exactly what we need.

No thanks to the Morris boys they are well past their use by date and would probably want 3 year contracts

We still need depth signings. As long as they're happy to be on low/reduced contracts knowing they're not 'automatic' NRL selections each week.

Unfortunately thats the mentality that got this club to where we are now….we'll have anyone as long as their cheap

I am going to watch Hiku closely today, as I have seen nothing from him to warrant getting him to the club

Not disagreeing with you but we seemed to be limited by what cash we had to spend. Yes we need big signings but there's nothing wrong with some of the blokes we have now as long as they're not the first option to play NRL

Im not sure spud if they definitely have him…just heard something on one of the radio sports shows....there's nothing on the roosters site or their forum....so could be a toss up like 99% of what we are hearing
