Expect Wests Tigers to announce Mahe Fonua and Corey Thompson as new recruits this week. We also hear they are close to poaching a Dragons player. Stay tuned.

Taane Milne??

with Lafai signing on with the dragqueens , i recon, it could well
mean, that it would be Milne that we have poached.

We don't need Klemmer.

I will admit that it would be good having him on our bus, but we don't need to spend big money to get him in our colours.

I think we should go after Albert Vete.

Then we would have a prop rotation of; Matulino, Packer, Vete, Twal

With those 4 players we have an average height of 189.5cm and an average weight of 111.25 kg.

But if we can get Klemmer, do it.

Vete would be the perfect addition to our forward pack for
next year 100%. but i too wouldnt mind if we get Klemmer.

I don't think Thompson would be a good signing for us. He is small in size, turning 27, and doesn't have that power we need. Fonua is better because of his size but I would use him as a centre. I'm pretty sure Milne is going to us considering Mann, Lafai and Aitken are ahead of him as starting centre for the Dragons.

I reckon Milne will play first grade next year for the Tigers.

He will be a second tier signing

wouldnt it be hilarious Klemmer left his bash buddy in the lurch

Klemmer would not be a good buy. I don't believe he would be worth the asking price and am not that impressed with his play. Matulino and Packer represent far better value.

Mann remains unsigned as well and is a fine utility player.

Matulino/Packer/Klemmer will give us grunt and aggression. Big meter eaters. Fast play the balls. Best forward pack we would have ever had.

8\. Ben Matulino
9\. Jacob Liddle
10\. Russell Packer
11\. Chris McQueen
12\. Esan Marsters
13\. David Klemmer

Speaking on Triple M Saturday NRL, Triple M and Fox Sports' James Hooper has said that the Tigers are looking to pick up a Roosters young gun. Listen to the full report below.

"The Roosters are playing later on today against the Brisbane Broncos," Hoops said.

"Young Connor Watson is signed there for next season.
"They're going to start young Mitch Cornish in the halves today with Mitchell Pearce out and Watson is on the bench.

"I know the Tigers are in pretty heavy trying to get Watson for next season, and so are Newcastle.

"I wouldn't be surprised if the Roosters let him go, based on the fact that they've got Tedesco and Mitchell Pearce in the halves as soon as he's fit again, so he's got pretty good depth.

"Though the week, Watson has let it be known that he feels that he's a starting player and he's disappointed that they went and signed Teddy because I think he thought he was probably a good chance of being the fullback next year.

"So I wouldn't be surprised if we see him move on."

Am I the only person unimpressed by what I've seen of Watson so far?

No, I'm totally unimpressed too.

Has anyone really been talking to him?
His effort last week made John Littlejack look like an immortal.

Another one of those young guys with massive wraps on them, but who fail to deliver when given the chance. We just got rid of one of those, don't need another.

Who does everyone have as starting centre/most likely to make the top 17 out of Milne and Fonua (assuming that they're both here next year)?
I'd go with Fonua, but haven't seen enough of Milne to make a fair judgement.
That said, I'd take Mann over both in a heartbeat. Caught the utility bug at St George but I'd definitely make room for him.

Milne in the centres with Suli. Fonua is better suited to the wing.
