Alex Glenn has an offer from us?

SG suddenly dumping the heavy rumour that we've made offers to A Glenn, B Lawrence and J Latimore? You've not given any indication on them before.

Latimore and Lawrence news in the papers today FYI. Just remember where u heard it first ?

Always had a feeling cleary would get latimore He actually played well under cleary at panthers. Thought glenn had already signed with broncs.

Glenn has offers from broncos tigers and warriors I believe

You aren't. Tigers have spent around the 6.3mil mark so far (that will jump to about 6.65 if ET takes up his option) then you have the banked offers to Rona,Glenn,Lawrence, Latimore so things could be quiet for while, problem is now that their really aren't any big marquee players off contract that warrant big dollars. Expect some roster boosting signings though.

Wests Tigers the NRL’s most active recruiters ahead of 2018 season

THE transfer market is in full swing and it’s the Wests Tigers who have become the most active team.
Ivan Cleary’s side have made eight signings ahead of the 2018 season and two mid-season additions to their current roster. When you look at the cattle leaving the club at season’s end, it’s clear why. Having lost the likes of Aaron Woods and James Tedesco and released Mitchell Moses from the remainder of his deal, the Tigers had to get busy.

Adding Russell Packer and Ben Matulino to their front row, Chris McQueen to the edge and Tui Lolohea and Josh Reynolds to the spine, the Tigers will be a completely different team in 2018\. Throw in the addition of backs Taane Milne, Mahe Fonua and Corey Thompson to compliment recently re-signed winger David Nofoaluma and Moses Suli and they have some handy depth.

With 13 players still off-contract, they have plenty of room to move as their squad continues to transform.

Agreed. Lawrence or latimore. we need one experienced prop to go on with jj or twal. They only have to play 30 min a game. Defend well and make a few runs. Jeez would love a decent 2nd rower though.

Yes we need a impact 2nd rower player. With time and in good company, Marsters may develop into such a player.

Gee The Eels have them in abundance.

The eels also have an abundant salary cap..

All this talk of glenn and other guys. I still dont get why ET cant play on the edge. Great defender, good ball player, can run lines. Hes played most of his career there. Put him there and put eisthmuth/Aloiaoa at lock. Problem solved.

Latimore is a consistent 10m per carry average prop, great defender as well (97% tackle efficiency) his work load has dropped off since 2015 though that's more to do with sharks than him personally. If/when he signs it will be a good depth signing for the roster.

ET on the edge

Tackle efficiency and post contact metres is what i look for in a front rower. If latimore can play 30 min and get through 60-70 metres and 10 -15 tackles im happy.

ET on the edge

People who say he cant play there needs to rewatch the 2011 grand final. ET was2nd row for warriors. Very talented. Would stop the winger from racing in too if hes outside the front rowers.

I would wait if I were WT. Lawrence and Lattimore are average at best and could fill a bench role. That said I'd try hard for Vete or wait until clubs have to release players. The third prop in the rotation could play 50 minutes so you need quality off the bench. Eisenhuth if he continues maybe a better and cheaper option very hard worker with a big motor.

Twal is the same. Eisenhuth looks to have good ball skills as well as making good metres. Turn him into a lock.

forget ET on a edge we need a big human on a edge, some one who can destroy a defense and hurt in defense. still believe greg bird is what we need, runs hard hits harder and is a top class grub.

Sounds like your are describing our lad from the west - Curtis Rona

Hes contracted. ET isnt small. Hes bigger then alex glennand alot of them. Id love wade graham but that wont happen.

Id personally rather hard front rowers and have our 2nd rowers be smarter aka cordner. run good lines and tackle hard.

Vete has had an offer there since April. Not sure if it still exists now though. But offer was made to him
