Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Not sure how i feel about Naiqama. The number of player's we've re-signed over the years due to improved performance as their contracts are about to expire only to see them swandive the next season is considerable.

He'll never be a great defender. As a cheap backup maybe he'll do as at least he's experienced, but really he shouldn't get a look in at NRL level.

We have to remember that our current squad has barely been good enough for most of the season and we do desperately need some apce in the backs.

I'd pass on Tali as well. We already have Nofo, Fonua, who are extremely similar players, small and nuggety and not very fast. Those players have a mixed impact these days and limited and then the likes of Suli, Milne, Thompson and maybe naiqama too the other back needs to offer something different.

Souths shopping Farah around. Guess they don't want to pay him money out of their own pocket. Great player in his prime, our second all time greatest player, but for most of this year his form has vindicated JT. Probably time to hang the boots up.

great player in his prime… he still has a little bit of it but really all he needed to do was follow the coaches instructions... I don't think I'd want him back considering that he hasn't been making any friends with the playmakers at Souths (we already knew that here that's why he was pushed out).

Agreed. Funny how the same stories that dogged our club for years are suddenly surfacing at Souths.

If anything it vindicated Potter more than anyone.

On Farah could he end up in a situation where he is playing for a new club and part of his salary is being paid by Souths, part by the tigers, and part by the new club? or do our payments cease after this year?

We are still paying Bryce Gibbs so yeah…

We've still got Bryce on the books for another five years don't we?

Pardon? Didn't he leave us in 2011 and retire like three or four years ago?
If it's a joke, yes we do tend to pay for players playing against us which is poor cap management, and it is funny, but if that's real, then wtf?

Agree with all your comments. Time to hang up his boots.

He hung them up 2 years ago….

If Liddle wants to go 80 mins next season he better put some size on in those shoulders of his .. he still looks like a kid.

Potter was the one who copped it unfairly in this situation. He provided the right guidance in relation to Robbie's contract but he was completely ignored.

Robbie on fair dollars would have been fine. He is still a better dummy half than any other player we have at the club.
