Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Feeney won't be the utility we are supposedly after, has signed with Townsville Blackhawks

Does anyone know if we are targeting anyone not previously mentioned. I think RTS is a pipe dream but apart from maybe the Raiders I don’t think any clubs need to shed anymore players.

I can see Valentine Holmes wanting out of the Sharks and I'd take Holmes over Lolohea everyday of the week and twice on Sundays

Sure we need a Left Winger..

Good to see you back mate, and yes RTS is probably a dream, but as you say Holmes might not like 2 fullbacks joining the club on big dollars.

Apparently Blake Ferguson is being shopped around. Would he be worth the risk or not?

No for me, let him stay at the Roosters and we will make a play for Latrell Mitchell..

Holmes and Ferguson are both top wingers who come off there wing at create attacking opportunities.
Val never looked great at fullback nor Ferguson. Wing or centre only.

He's only on $50 and 2 cases of Cruizers a week at the Rorters so would come cheap…for a winger..

In DT, Fittler anoints two of his Lebanon players as future NSW Origin players. One is Twal and I'd hate to think MM is the other (behind pay wall). This is exactly what concerns me that FIttler with his links to the Roosters will target our best (Twal and Marsters).

No. A bigger goose than Moylan.

But your happy to have the biggest Goose of all time onboard in Reynolds
…at $750K might I add :unamused:

At least Moylan and Ferguson are quality players unlike our new Golden Goose .

I thought I read somewhere that we had made an offer to Ferguson a while back and he had knocked us back. He's be a great addition to the backline - team culture wise though, not such a great addition. On balance I reckon I'd take him.

Big no from me….don't need douche bags in our team...they dont come bigger than Fergo or Dugan

I bet do differ . We have been douchless for a too long. We need a couple of douches to compete with the Sharks who have six or seven.
They even stole one of our biggest douches of all time.Fifita.

Douchbags off the BUS!

We seem to be recruiting people who are pretty team focused. Reynolds is an awesome dude and the Canterbury guys love him. Unlike Dugan or Ferguson, the guy builds the team and unity. Dogs dropped Reynolds and their season tanked. We actually had a fairly unified team with Marshall and Farah and a recruitment department who paid overs for everyone!!!

Ok I digress. Were building a team here. You want team building players. Reynolds, Packer, ET are great glue to keep a team together and playing solid for an 8 appearance.

We don't need to risk it on buying Ferguson to push that 8 to a 7 or 6th this season. Two seasons later, yes. That's were we hope to convert a top 4 spot into a finals appearance…. But Fergusson could ruin the team easily, Cleary hasn't set up the culture yet, Roosters can manage him we can't.

If I was looking to bring any NRL bad boy, I would actually bring Carney in when Marshall retires. At that time we would have had our team culture in place, Carney was actually behaving at the Sharks and probably has mellowed enough to stay out of trouble till retirement.

The whole attitude of "2 more seasons" hasn't worked for the last 6 seasons…

Here's a crazy idea, why don't we just buy the best players we can? I think it's fair to say that Cronulla fans are having a better time following a team full of douchebags than we are supporting a team that never makes the finals.
