If we do sign Brian Kelly Ivan might even put him on the wing, he can play wing as well.

Why? He is playing well at centre, is learning to play that position in the NRL and will be one of our two best centres (the other being Marsters).

I still think Fonua and Marsters in the centres and Kelly as a backup.

Kelly is a starter in the centers with Marsters. Fonua is nothing more than a back up until he learns to bring a consistency to his performances which includeds turning up to training on time.

When do people learn, Fonua made the Super League dream team twice in a row, the only 2 years he was there. He made over 200 metres every game with us in ISP and at least scored 1 try, and if he didn't, he made up for it the next game by scoring 2\. And yeah a few errors came with that, but he's played 2 games for us in 1st grade and hasn't made a single error.

Brian Kelly made his debut for Manly at the back end of last year and has been nothing but a little over average. He's had a few good games and that's about it.

EXCLUSIVE: Mbye to join Tigers as Woods hits the market.
The Bulldogs insist they aren't actively shopping Woods around, however NRL.com understands the club would be open to discussions around allowing him out of his lucrative contract to ease their salary cap burden.
There's also the political machinations of it given Woods was brought to the club by former chairman Ray Dib.
New Bulldogs chair Lynne Anderson isn't worried about being left with egg on her face over the potential release of Woods despite joining the club at the end of last season on a multi-million dollar four-year deal.
The Tigers spent big money on Russell Packer and Ben Matulino when replacing Woods last year, so any potential of bringing their former captain back to the club would hinge on how much they would want to spend.
There's no way the Tigers would even consider taking the full freight of Woods' $800,000 contract, however it could come down to how desperate the Bulldogs are in freeing up space and if they are willing to make an Mbye-type contribution to make it happen.
Whether Woods is willing to take a pay cut is unknown, however he didn't burn any bridges on his way out and has openly admitted he has a great relationship with coach Ivan Cleary and enjoyed his time under him at the club.
It only adds to the drama that surrounds Sunday's Tigers-Bulldogs game at ANZ Stadium, with Woods and Josh Reynolds lining up against their old clubs for the first time and Mbye taking on the team he could join in the coming weeks.

I’d take him

As I feel him and packer would be a really good combo, with Matalino and Twal off the bench

We are looking for a prop and Woodsey to his credit played every game for the tigers with 110% unlike others and did it well

Hearing aaron woods hits the market and we are one of several clubs interested

If he's willing to take a pay cut.

I was only thinking this morning about the Bulldogs still needing to release someone else
I suggested we should go after Mariner
I think he would be much better for us then Woods
I like Mariners aggressive runs
Woods is to slow and we have moved on
Unless he excepts a massive pay cut and a bench warming spot
Maybe we go for both as a package deal

RFM isn’t on big money so the dogs won’t get rid of him no chance

Second rower…. hmmmm well I just watched the titans and roosters game and would love Hipgrave his aggressiveness is so good to watch should’ve seen him go at Fergo all game along with hitting teddy with a bell ringer

Not sure on his contract situation but what do they mean anyways.... just ask Mitch

So klemer and Jackson off limits
Who else do they have that we would be interested in
Sounds like they are getting desperate
If we did sign Mbye which looks like will be announced soon
They are very quick to try and unload another player on a big contract re Woods

I would say they need to get rid of Woods or Foran, they are both on huge long contracts

I hate watching Roosters games brings back painful memories especially when Teddy is firing. Hipgrave seems like a grub, wasn't impressed by him

Me and you both brother

I don’t want him playing origin but on the brightside he won’t play against us if he does get selected

Hipgrave is the sort of bloke that you would hate, unless he’s on your team then you’d love him!

Bit like Marty everyone else thought he was a bit of a grub but we all loved him

One things for sure
The Tigers signing of Reynolds and Mbye and the signing of Woods by the dogs will start a new rivalry between the two clubs
The Dogs supporters will be livid
If you look at it the Bulldogs certainly got the raw end of the straw but can only blame their front office
It might have taken 3 decades but that's payback for the 1988 grand final when Terry Lamb took out Elery Hanley with a cheap shot and we lost our key player and the game
What made it worse was when Lamb was appointed as the tigers coach
That was a dark day

Um, yes he did. He even tried to take other Tigers players with him when he left.
He would have to come crawling back on his hands and knees, even then I certainly wouldn't want him.

It comes down though not to my opinion, but to what Cleary would want, and thankfully I doubt Cleary would look twice at Woods.

God no, don't even think about taking Woods back. HIs performance on the field is ok but not fantastic, I'd rate him as only average. However, his off field performance last year as captain of our team was pathetic and the culture he was so desperate to leave, but a huge part of, has gone, but he should not be given a get out of jail pass and come back. That attitude and performance should not be forgiven.

His culture is no longer WT, he is a dog now, literally and figuratively. Let him and the Bulldogs lie in their bed. Shop him off to ESL.
