Looks like the player Pom was referring to was Segeyaro.

Lurker suggesting due to "WTs coaching mess" he'll more than like head to Dogs or Knights …funny the dogs coach Dean Pay is off contract after next year...that uncertainty is apparently OK...but our ''uncertainty'' is a coaching mess

Dont really need another hooker do we?
Liddle
Farah

The Lurker follows that with Brad Arthur being on $1M next year … yeah right .

So how does that fit? When, why were we chasing him?

My understanding is,we were interested in Seggy before Farah was back on the scene but than decided Farah was a better fit to mentor Liddle and dropped out of the race for his signature before Clearygate came to light.

If there is in fact a player who decided to give us a wide berth, my money would be on CNH from Penrith who signed with the dogs

If that is the loss, then no big deal, but there will probably be more if we don't sort the Cleary mess, yes other coaches are off contract next year, but they are not presumed signed by another team, or have agreed to leave the year after.

Thanks for that. It's what I thought. Didn't ring true to me. The Segeyaro bid was over and done before the Cleary business started. CHN is a good bet. I though he was seriously considering WT and then suddenly changed direction. Not sure of the timing though. I thought it was a bit earlier as well, unless he had inside word.

The one to watch is Brooks. He'd be have to be heartily sick of the bloody moronic sideshows that seem to plague this place.

Same thinking here. Posted something similar in the brooks topic. I wouldn't blame him if he felt that way to be honest. Hopefully it's not the case!

This is exactly what I’m taking about with Cleary. He should be fined for bringing the club into disrepute plus damaging the brand. Surely his contract would stipulate something like this. I am so mad about this crap.

He has cost us new recruits given his uncertainty - jerk!

Everyone goes on about not trusting the media yet we are all over this Segeyaro rumour.

Segeyaro just makes no sense, yes we may have been interested in him when Farah was weighing things up but Farah is staying. This is the exact rubbish that people accuse the media of on here.

Human nature…...we believe what we want to believe and discard what we don’t want to believe....we are all guilty of it

FWIW , Old booze head Buzz on NRL360 speculated that because George Mimmis is the manager of both IC & Wayne Bennett that a deal might done that lands WB at the WTs

If bringing TPJ on a long term contract Is part of that scenario then giddy up .

Now that would be front page news!!

WB advised Bellamy not to come here, so he would need to be desperate for a run to make that decision. Plus I have heard that his support staff cost a fortune which would be a massive impediment.

Old old news your referring to.
He bailed on that advice because our administrative structure was in termouil at the time and Bennet was aware of that.
Different story now.

That’s also more than 15 years ago.
