Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I would be offering cook a 5 year 5m deal. Unlikely he leaves Souths but money talks.
We have a few players coming off contract next year if we have to go another direction at halfback that’s okay.

Mbye tried 6 and failed. He looks great at fullback so I wouldn't move him.

Dufty has pace but not much else. Absolutely no ball playing ability.

In all of our are big margin loses we were outplayed in the forwards, so why shall we spend
our (very limited) resources on FB or wings and do nothing about our major weakness ?? :bash Please explain

Maguire should be back in Australia tending to his club.

He had a prior commitment, are you saying he should just drop that because he has a better offer?

We're professional and there are important matters to be dealt with at the Club. SImple, you allow things to drift or you get back and get on top of them.

So he should have dumped the Kiwis mid series? Ivan says hi by the way.

Just throwing it out there!

If brooks left and hope he doesn’t just for the record.
But if he did, with all the talk around about good halves options are in shortage. Would it be worth throwing a bone to some young half on the cusp of first grade and seeing how he goes with Reynolds and Marshall?
The young Penrith bloke Luliai or Gamble maybe even Drinkwatwer from Melbourne if he hasn’t signed already.

Maybe it’s time to sit and wait for the right bloke and give a well regarded young player a season.

Again just an idea.
Be kind?

Agree. Liked what I saw of Luliai and especially Drinkwater.

Drink water re_signed with Melbourne

Cannot understand the hysteria regarding an article in the Telegraph!! Brooks was put on a fair contract at a time when we were trying to resign Woods and Tedesco. He was told to improve, which I think he has done.

If there was a danger of him leaving, I doubt he would be on the website modelling the new jersey!! I would like to think the club has learnt from these types of mistakes the last few years.

Couldn't care less if he leaves.

i mean, it would be a bit of a loss but we do have to be prepared for situations like this.

On the bright side of things, it would open up new doors for great players like townsed and johnson to come in

Exactly.

Last year proved cronk is the only game changer half.

Ever heard of Skype and mobile phones…technology these days..rather he stayed in Taupau's ear..

So he should have dumped the Kiwis mid series? Ivan says hi by the way.

And so dose Mal and we know he was not much of an NRL coach. At that level, the captain should be able to run the team.

If we'd signed Bennett I doubt he would have left England

I'd rather he be in ears of TPJ, Lodge and the Bronco's winger.

As for modern tech, the personal touch is always best however I'm always open to hearing about your experience with skype and other devices

Not sure what your contention is, I agree with you. I was saying we shouldn't waste money on Dufty. Prop should be our number one priority.

Wrong coach. The one who breaks contracts when a better one comes along has left the building.

We just got rid of a coach with no integrity and now you are proposing that our new coach show those exact same traits.
