Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

TPJ is rumoured to have already signed with the Roosters. George Burgess turned down a huge Eels offer to stay at souths as Inglis is retiring and he doesn’t want to leave. Souths will have cash next year.

This year will be key in attracting players we have to make the 8 and be a finals team to attract top tier talent. We have to make use of the empty roster spot to upgrade this year and somehow release a few big contracts not in the first 17.

Give him a go GNR - he is 22 for God's sake.

How many great DH's have you seen at 22?

He has the potential - we have seen that. He is not doing any harm in ISP (although you can just as easily get injured in ISP as NRL). He is not going to take Farah's spot as Mage is a fan.

So give him a chance to ply his trade in ISP, recover from injury and be ready for next year.

We have a couple of back ups for ISP.

Can't see why people are talking about older Dummy halves.

A solid season by the Tigers coupled with Madge will see us increasingly attractive to a higher grade of player where we wont havr to pay overs anymore.

Marshall was different. We all knew how much of a freak he was. Liddle is still unknown. At 22, his time of living off potential is quickly running out.

If everyone loved the current hooker there wouldnt be too many talking up Liddle thats for sure.

His hype is somewhat inflated due to people not liking Farah.

I like Robbie, he has been a WT legend. I just don't think he's the best fit for Brooks. Robbie doesn't give Brooks the quick service he needs, and when the game is on the line, Robbie will try to win it, whereas these days, that's something we want Brooks to take control of.

Regardless, we do need to plan for life after Robbie, and Liddle seems to be the right type of hooker, but yes you're right, I haven't seen anything to suggest he can make it in first grade, it's more hope/hype at this stage.

Liddle is the plan.

Trouble is he has not come on and keeps picking up injuries. We need a plan B. Our only other option is to look at these free agent type hookers. It upsets the Liddle fans but the club has to come first.

That was laughable to come out and say that after 1 NRL game. Kids these days have unbelievable egos lol.

Warriors offered him $3mil over 5 years during offseason. He is only on minimum wage contract so I think he was just saying that if that sort of money is getting thrown around why not see what he is worth. But yes he could have said it better and then to say that he will definitely be worth a lot more by the end of the season was a bit egotistical.

It's been rumoured for a while that TPJ will heading to the Headless Chooks at seasons end to replace JWH. But in saying that, that was before Uncle Wayne ended up at the Bunnies .. so it wouldn't surprise me if TPJ heads to the Bunnies .. maybe releasing one of the Burgess brothers .. !!

But TPJ .. wow what a game he had last night totally destroyed the Cows on his own .. in some of those tackles he was a missile, a loose cannon, just freckin nuts the way he throw himself at players .. !!

Sonny Bill Williams could throw a complete spanner in everyone's works including the Roosters

And it is a good thing …when we have more options available the prices can get slightly cheaper for quality

Yep

Won't make it to another Rugby World Cup because of his age

He will want to maximise his final $$$'s

But surprisingly I don't think it will be the roosters ….

As for Robbie. He is a die hatd tiger that will not give up.

Thats good for the tigers and the youngsters at our club.

I think its up to the other players to step up and out of RF and BMs shadows. They need to put in a compelling case NOT to resign rhe for 2020

Enjoy him / them while u can.
