Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Roosters have a few mill to spare. They were pretty quiet in the recruitment area last year only securing Crichton. They will need to secure a top halfback as well to replace Cronk if he retires, probably the Eels will have a fight to retain Moses, Brown or their fullback.

Its good to see the salary cap working with the same clubs up the top every year…
I was under the impression it was to make it an even playing field but i am clearly mistaken. People say its because they have very good contacts in the Corp world etc.. and I understand that however... If the NRL was serious about it they should cap these SO called TP payments and all payments should be paid through the NRL...If any team is caught cheating the Salary Cap moving forward they should be punished heavily and not just a slap on the wrist like the Sharks got. AFL went heavy on Carlton I believe years ago and now the clubs know the punishment and you don't see it very often at all now in AFL.
I live in Brisbane but for the life of me i do not understand how the Roosters & Broncos keep having rep players coming out of there ears yet clubs like us struggle to get any. I have a hate towards to game at the moment for this and just want everyone on an even or close to even playing field.

My Rant is over now but i feel better

just a link to the article about rorters and tevita

Broncos will hold TPJ. Despite what is written in the article, the Roosters need an established 5/8 or half to replace Cronk, whether its Moses, Brown or the smokey Gutherson.

The Broncs are the one team who can match Mr Politis. I wonder if Crichton's tenure is under threat? He may find out how fickle support is at Bondi. If they got rid of him, then yes it would be feasible.

The small circle of strong clubs just pass the very best players around to each other at will making those particular clubs even stronger each year. Yeah it's a fair comp 🙄

The good ones start off as good juniors. That is why it is important we have a very good junior recruitment officer (which we do) and high class juniors coming through(which we do). If this rumour about Josh Schuster is true, we have an extremely talented forward at a fraction of the cost of TPJ. TPJ's brothers were Balmain juniors.

Rorters making a play for Pangai Jr. Look set to offer 1 mil. Surprise surprise.

Makes me sick, they keep trying to tell everyone Cronk signed for way less than reported, now they will be saying that 1 million is a direct swap, yet the NRL keep looking the other way

Shows the scant disregard for the cap when they signed Crighton, he was starring at souths as a left side backrower, easts had the NSW and Australian captain playing left side backrow
Souths offered $800k to keep him, yet he still went to easts, go figure, and now he is a benchie at the chooks, nothing to see here

Toddles would soon be out of a job if he gets on the wrong side of the roosters.Toddles likes the continual supply of folding stuff and wont rock the boat
