I've heard the same rubbish about JAC and Korobeite from various supporters. The thing about it is you can coach tackling technique but pace not so much?

You can teach tackling technique but you can't necessarily turn someone into a decent defender. Thurston worked hard on his game but was a rubbish defender in the line from start to finish...I don't think any (first grade) team needs Field and Dufty both. If we were shopping at that end of the market I'd prefer Drinkwater to either anyway.

You can teach tackling technique but you can't necessarily turn someone into a decent defender. JT wasn't the greatest defender but he put his butt on the line every time he took the field and went into every tackle with 100 % intent
