When has anyone said anything official re a hip injury?

And, if so, why answer questions with 'yeah, Packer and Madge are fine....really....umm, really!'

Why not just say 'no story, he is injured'.

I wish they had of pushed him further on Packer. They asked "what is going on" and Pascoe just said "they get along, no problems etc etc" soft laughter "in the week I have been back no problems" soft laughter and awkwardness...

They should have said "so, why has he not played any grade for six weeks"...........but changed the topic.

Do you realise Packer has a hip injury..? Or do you expect him to play CC while injured?

That has not been reported by the Wests Tigers and is he is not listed on any injury list.

@avocadoontoast The only players in that lot that I rate at more than $1M are Smith, Taumololo and Teddy. So you are entitled to your opinion. And you miss my point. I made no comment about how much we are (over) paying some players on our current roster. Its great to be smart and breathlessly criticize player recruitment decisions in hindsight.

Packer's motto is "when you are on a good thing stick to it". He is continuously not playing but still earns his full paycheck. It's criminal but why would he move..

He's not playing at all because he's injured. Yes Madge and Packer may have different views on how the team should operate and that's fine. That's not the reason he's not playing CC. Who knows, he may even get back on the bench at some point.

And when was the last time we had an injury update from the club? We only get one every couple of months. All we hear is 'Lawrence is getting closer to a return' etc. Not a list of all injured players at the club.

He's not playing at all because he's injured. Yes Madge and Packer may have different views on how the team should operate and that's fine. That's not the reason he's not playing CC. Who knows, he may even get back on the bench at some point.

Fox publishes an updated injury list weekly. Every player suffering an injury has been listed when it's released every week. Packer ain't there and never has been. Can you please confirm how you know he's injured? I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just odd that they list everyone else.

@avocadoontoast don't you think fox gets their info from the club's public media releases? I don't know why but WT are very slack when it comes to reporting on injuries. Heck they don't even report on the Jersey Flegg team every week.

I'm going to explain this to you one last time as you're fairly new here. This is a forum where everyone can express their opinions. This is not a cheerleading forum. If you want everyone to just support everything the club does then I suggest you look for a suitable forum elsewhere. Furthermore, you don't have the right to tell me what I can/cannot say. If I want to criticise the coach i'll do it as much as I want. If it offends you and start to feel a little sad then I suggest you block me or mute me or whatever you need to do to make yourself feel better.

Now, on the evidence that I have seen the jury is still out on Maguire. To date there is nothing that suggests to me that he's a supercoach. But i'm not writing him off either. If he can get this team running well then I will be extremely happy.

As for Pascoe, well, he pleaded guilty to not understanding the rules and therefore accepted a punishment. As a business owner, I can tell you that not understanding the rules that govern your industry is a massive fail in every sense of the word. Was he hard done by? Possibly, but that doesn't excuse him from the fact that he didn't understand something that was KEY to his role.

I don't want any inside info from you whatsoever and after this I'm not going to engage you on any post moving forward. If you are an adult then I'd hope that you'd have the willpower to do the same.

IMO we are 7 starting signings short of a top 4 team.

I think we are only 3 or 4 away from a top 4 squad. Imaging the Trbojevic brothers in our squad. That would push us very close.
