the annoucement may not happen till Monday on the basis most of the office staff dont work on a Sunday. As long as contracts are registered then thats all fine but may not be announced till Monday

Based on this years levels of communication I’d say most of the staff struggle to work Monday to Friday as well

My preferences for 2020:

Young, cheap, talented 5/8 as starter and Marshall (on very cheap contract) or some other generic body as backup.

The problem is, he won't be back up, how many reserve grade games has he played, he is picked in first grade every week he is fit, that is the problem, that is why he needs to go

That's speculation on our part, I think. If Marshall is going to cause trouble if not selected as first choice I'd totally agree with you: we can't re-sign him. But I honestly don't know if that's the case. He's been first choice this season because he's the best 5/8 available in Maguire's opinion, and that's hardly his fault - it's not his contract that's stopped us from signing anyone better.
I go back to the contracts again. While we've got Reynolds we're not going to be able to spend any money on another 5/8. If we can find a good one on the same money as Marshall of course we should sign him instead of Marshall - but even the names that have been mentioned I doubt are available on minimum salary. The problem is, always has been and will continue to be Reynolds.

Don’t know if this is old news but I just read on Facebook that Penrith are getting rid of RCG. I’d be happy if a deal was done swapping Packer for him.
