Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

@TYGA totally agree, what’s our major draw card as a potential home for players ?

Madge will attract solid players that are 22-26 years old that want to work hard and improve.
I just can’t see any experienced players wanting to put themselves though Madge’s regime .Especially big forwards.

@Geo think he’s referring to the club and not the people - but also saying George not Corey are the types Madge would be looking at. Idk but has seemed to be bang on with his insights

Take everything ya read on here with a grain of salt dude, where’s Tim mannah🤣

I'm not sure what that means tbh...

Aren't your good self and @TieDye related..

What does believing or not believing what you read have to do with the quality of player Maguire can attract to play under him..?

Whatever happened to Jamayne Isaako? Was thought to be the next broncos fullback and has all but disappeared. Can cover backline and fullback. Has his form been that bad that he wouldn’t be worth a shot?

G'day @Nelson: I feel you telling pawsandclaws1 "using hindsight to be judgemental of them is pretty cheap" is pretty cheap of you IMHO.
Hindsight IS a wonderful tool we have to use to help make things right, as we can look back on my/yours/Our mistakes and hopefully not make the same boo-boo again. And IMHO a classic case of hindsight is Donald Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon. Will the Yanks vote him into the Oval Office again? IMHO, I doubt it.
Plus I feel pawsandclaws1 was rightly venting some frustration at a pathetic situation, cheers mate :relaxed:

He's not using hindsight as a tool to help make things right into the future, he's using it to be judgmental of the decisions made by others in the past. That's why it is cheap. He is using information that was not known at the time and could not have been known to stick the boot in.
Not sure how what I said is cheap but you can think that if you want...

@Nelson agree completely. These people talking about the past weren’t complaining when the events happened.

Classic case is Papenhuyzen. When we let him go no one batted an eyelid and he was called too small and injury prone. It was also silent last year when Melbourne were trying to release him. Now he’s playing well, it’s apparently obvious he should have been kept.

Yeah noticed he’s been dropped, could be perfect for us if broncos were willing to release him.

Had a hamstring issue & is back this weekend, Broncos refused to let other clubs negotiate with him.

@Geo and it’s quite clear that he’s not talking about personnel? Do you legitimately not understand that in his post l
He’s talking about Wests Tigers, not sure it could be written any more clearly... with reference to the insight I mean Tie probably knows much more than you would RE Michael Maguire. Sorry if you were confused

@Geo wait... so you haven’t read that we’re after burgess ? What is the topic that’s being discussed here for the past few pages. Idk mate for a forum supporter you dunno much of what’s going on ... I mean take it with a grain of salt that we would even be able to sign anyone, finance wise?? Let alone when you still didn’t answer the question about what our ‘club’s’ drawcard is

Our Clubs draw card is the Coach..simple.... and the calibre of player he can attract to play under and for him.

@TYGA posted more likely to sign a Corey Dennis than a George Burgess

@TieDye completely agreed..

I suggest Maguire will attract a better quality of player than that...hope that helps

Good morning @TieDye: my favourite movies are Bruce Willis type movies, and another one I watched recently with Kevin Costner [you're in hallowed company @TieDye] where there is a lot of drama with some humour mixed in. And that's exactly what you have produced with this one, passion for Our Wests Tigers with a bit of humour to lighten the scene, cheers mate :relaxed:

@851 We must be up their with losing top quality players - Brown, Korobeite, JAC, Tatola, Douehi, Papenhuyzen and the troubled trio

I reckon most clubs have a list of players they regret losing. For example, Storm lost Cronk. Tohu, Jesse Arthurs, Jordan Mclean, Slade Griffin, Jake Turpin and Mark Nicholls in one season. If you're winning, you don't care.
