@balmain-boy He’s signed a two year deal with the jersey Flegg team and is hoping to sign an NRL contract after these two years. Was playing in the chiefs U18’s team this year.

Looks like our Flegg team is building nicely for next season.

Any article on it?

Any other news on his age position potential?

Rotorua Boys' High School student Ceiza James signs NRL contract with Wests Tigers
31 Oct, 2019 7:47am

In 2003, a teenager by the name of Benji Marshall made his NRL debut for the Wests Tigers. It was a winning formula, in 2005 the kid from Whakatāne led them to the Holy Grail – a win in the NRL Grand Final. Now, in 2019, the club have recruited another young Bay of Plenty star, another who plays in the halves and has a background in touch rugby.

They quoted in an article he plays fullback ....rugby union player

Yeah he was wearing the 15 in most of the highlights.
Great support runner.

@balmain-boy I saw it on Instagram, his mates shared it a couple of times, can I send a screenshot on here from my phone ?

@willow Yes he will be a very handy addition by the sounds of things. My only query will be whether we have too many of these types of players with the current crop backing up from last year. Dillon is a fullback so where would he fit in? I thought we might have had the back 3 fairly well covered (except for injuries of course) but I suspect it is good to have all this competition.

I hope we don't wake up tomorrow to the news that we've signed Moylan and/or Dugan. Lomax, Brimson, Frizzell would all be good signings, in my opinion. Could even handle JWH for 2 years (if year one is 2020). Just don't want those two pretenders donning the black, white & gold.
Discounting a pipe dream like Fifita, my order of signing preference would be:
1. Frizzell
2. Brimson
3. Lomax
4. Crighton
5. JWH
27. Moylan
28. Dugan

You can never have enough

We have a lot of options in the back 3 but I would hardly say there is a heap of quality there as well.

I’d love to get Frizell but honestly cant see it happening.
I would be very happy if we were able to sign at least a couple of:
Lomax
Leilua
Tetevano
Capewell
Brimson
Sami
It all depends on what happens with Matulino and Matterson - also if Reynolds moves on.

I could handle Moylan. A massive hypothetical obviously but let's say we sign Moylan, JWH, Lomax, Capewell and Leilua. Our potential team next year could be:

1 - Moylan
2 - Nofoaluma
3 - Lomax
4 - Talau
5 - Thompson
6 - Marshall
7 - Brooks
8 - JWH
9 - Mbye (Has potential to be a good hooker)
10 - Packer
11 - Garner
12 - Capewell
13 - Twal

14 - MCK
15 - Aloiai
16 - Mikaele
17 - Leilua

A hell of a lot needs to fall in place for that to happen, but that is a better team than this year imo (by some margin)

@Spud_Murphy That's $13 million Wests tigers save (or didn't have). Talk about the inflating cost of signing good players. Something has to happen or clubs will become extinct.

@Newtown I'm glad. Love to see loyalty - shame we couldn't engender the same loyalty with those who will not be named!!
