Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

@hodgo With respect, .........Patience, how many years have we all sat here waiting, our new motto should be "NEXT YEAR" because nothing has happened. Except changing the coaches seat.

Sorry, but what path are you looking at, we have lost some decent players and from what I have read, we have not really replaced them. TBH, the clubs success is an empty trophy case, kids with limited talent are not our answer, IMO Easts & Storm buy there players, not develop them, it takes to long and is hit and miss.

I do agree that the management system seems to be stable now, but we had $1.8m to go to the market, we targeted 1 player in particular (LM) to which I thought was a good choice, but he appears to be not interested?

Maybe we need better negotiators.

@Russell It sounds horrible but if Thompson was 10kgs heavier and a few inches taller he would probably be one of the best fullbacks in the game
Still a tremendous player who playes out of his skin most weeks.been one of our best two years in a row

Hey they can do anything in Thailand

@TigerWest We should wait as long as our negotiating team thinks is appropriate. They know what's happening. If they think they're being played I imagine they will start with the plan B signing negotiations.

I really think LM is playing the tigers, I would have been much happier had we signed , capewell, tetavano and lomax, and we would have got 3 for not much more than we wopuld have paid for LM.

Fools gold really. I understand your point about who you would sign & allocate the money to BP, but to suggest that we missed out on those guys as if they were going to line up & sign one after the other is a little naive. Not to mention, we would still be left without a marquee. We need one, other players will follow. I trust the process

@TigerWest all good mate we see things very differently. We will have to agree to disagree. The young talent is top self for the first time since the big 4. I want top talent not whats on offer. The only ones id consider are fifita, arrow and LM and we are in the market for one of them which is great.

@happy_tiger you have your 'facts' right about which players we have signed and let go. What you don't know is what's going on behind the scenes...

So when you say "Something does not seem right here as we are nearly Dec and other teams are playing there cards and all we seem to be doing to sitting in the corner with our fingers crossed hoping that LM comes to us…" others, including me, disagree with you. I'm sure they're doing a lot more behind closed doors than sitting in the corner with their fingers crossed.

I don't recall saying the "Quoted" comments ..maybe it was a linked comment

What I will say is I can't remember the last season when I looked at our recruitment and went "WOW we are contenders now" While I thought Packer was an excellent signing , I was concerned about Matulino's knee and Reynolds being the right half to partner Brooks

Whats that saying about using past behaviours to predict future behaviours

You have faith , good for you , I'm not convinced yet and won't be until I see the results on the scoreboard and table at seasons end

Hope that's not our only name signing. At this stage of their careers, Matterson is better than Leilua.

@tiga4eva as a consistant worker he is for sure. But lucys ceiling is high as an attacking weapon which is what we lack imo.

Yep, add to that we'll be playing a whole different brand of footy now to what we did last year. I was expecting more from Catto from an attacking perspective, although he was solid in other departments. Looking forward to seeing what Luciano brings to the table - him and Talau down the short side on a raid has a lot of promise.

I wish we would go hard for Brandon smith, and someone like campbell graham from souths, those sorts of players change teams, young energetic, no egos, just good players and work hard...

one can wish
