My concern with signing Moylan is two fold, firstly, yes he would probably add something but would the cost equate to benefits..I doubt it.
Secondly..why would you give the Sharks a leg up by helping them move on a player and create cap space. I see it as madness.

Maybe different if there is a swap with JR in the deal. That way both clubs are getting cap relief

I'd go for that...two duds swap clubs.... 🙂

Now that the Tigers have pulled out of the race to sign Latrell Mitchell, they have ramped up their bid to sign Cronulla utility Matt

Moylan.
The Sharks are reportedly happy to let Moylan go after an injury-plagued season that saw him play just 11 games in 2019.
The Tigers have money to spend following Ryan Matterson's departure and see Moylan as a valuable player given his ability to play almost anywhere in the backline

The worrying aspect of signing Moylan is the 11 games he only played last year and the HIA injury which manifested it self after the game
If funds are still available a boots and all offer to Xerri would be the way to go would be cheaper alternative than LM with potential (there's that word again) plus and apparently the Rorters have list interest.

Buzz reckons NRL are set to approve a 10 year Burgess payout for Souths in adminastration role "The NRL is expected to approve his medical retirement by the end of the week. Outside of the new job at Souths, Burgess also recently signed a new commentary deal at Fox Sports". They're saying the end of the week now? It seems like they've fast-tracked it all if Buzz is on the money here. It would be crazy if it got approved so quickly after Greenberg said in the new year. Wouldn't be surprised if the timing was by design

I thought this was a joke when originally posted. Just rubbish by Buzz. But now I see a story on Fox about the same, and think it might be happening.

This game is so corrupt, so fixed. Some teams are definitely favoured higher than others. Absolute rubbish that this "post career" admin job, paying $360k a year for 10 years, with the total happening to equal the contract he signed last year, wasn't sorted before he agreed to retire. Obviously it's too offset the retirement, to pay him outside of the cap. If it was a for real rmedical retirement, why do they have to sort any deal? And it is obviously used to convince him to retire, which is a bigger breach than we were pinged for.

Fuming, so much so that I had to edit this post to take out a few words.

I think he is a bad buy for souths, Arrow is a lock, and they have Murray, Luciano Leilua would have been a better pick for them to replace Sutton, I don't think Arrow will excel on an edge, but it's souths, the NRL will make it work for them

I thought if you were medically retired the player got his money per year as per contract and the money no longer counted in the salary cap

So why than does Burgess have to work 10 years in the office to get his money?

Am I missing something?
