I saw a lot of very good, and some utterly incompetent chief executives over a long career in business and Pascoe is one of the good ones. His main job is to keep the ship on an even keel financially and as far as I'm aware he's done this. He is a very capable chief executive. Were he available for hire by other sporting organisations, I doubt he'd have long to wait for job offers!

Had a dream last night. Setting was a warm & sunny September arvo on the hill at leichhardt oval. A Tigers win would clinch the minor premiership over the fading parra slimey's who only 24hrs prior suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of last placed souffs to make it their 7th loss on the trot..

Thanks to a 5th tackle try saver from this years runaway Dally M favourite L.Brooks the Tigers regain possession on their own 10 and are up by 2 with a couple minutes to go. The Storm, who have just failed to score on 3 consecutive sets camped on the Tigers goal line are showing clear signs of disharmony, lead by their captain C.Smith who is overheard muttering "If only we had some pace out wide"...

It's tackle 3 and with 1:25 left on the clock the Tigers standout fullback N.Cotric spots a couple lazy defenders with their backs turned on the short side. He skips out of dummy half, evades the offside storm markers(all game ref), then proceeds to deliver a Benji esque inside flick pass to a flying Fox after drawing the now bewildered centre/wing combo of the storm towards the sideline.
The Fox puts it down under the black dot for his 40th meat pie this season, pumps the emblem on his chest and runs over to the northern end faithful to do his now trademark Leichhardt Leap

A bit of topic but

Just an update on the Centre of Excellence:

Wests Tiger and West Harbour Pirates have been asked to vacate Concord by the 3rd week of February which I'm assuming means that demolition will start in March. Both clubs will be located in demountable's behind the old eastern stand over the canal at Concord.
I believe that the Tigers will probably train at St Lukes North, the oval has just been reseeded to get to NRL standard (not sure what that is) and the Pirates will be at St Lukes 2 and 3 sharing with the Tigers lower grades.
Schedules for construction of the CoE are still a little grey but my sources are telling me that it may not be available until after the 2022 pre season. But I am assuming the oval itself maybe accessible before that.

Technically they can’t register a contract that will see the cap exceeded. So if NRL has registered it they are saying they are cap compliant for 2020 with latrell. Now if they want arrow that probably changes things
