His manger gave the club the indication a meeting last week with the Eels was to finalise a release only to be knocked back AGAIN !

I dislike every club not named WT.. but this bunch are definitely top of the dislike list for me.

The Tigers digging their heels in does nothing. Souths won't budge and we have no leverage in negotiations. All we're doing is allowing other clubs a chance to swoop in.

This isn't some surplus signing like Stefano. It would fix a weakness in our squad.

and if the club does pay the extra $100K someone will complain here again that we are helping Souffs with their cap or we paid overs... the club can't win either way - damned if they do and damned if they don't

If he is a first grade fullback most are running at more than $500k. Sign him please Madge. There is no place for quabling when it comes to a likely team saviour.

Momo is unreliable even with chip overs. Mbye unreliable.

We have had no legit goal kicker for 4 years. The only club not to have one.

How on earth we are not rushing to sign a legit first grader, who wants to come, who covers ALL the positions we need...and kicks goals...I just don't know.

Agree with this. Corey is a gutsy player but he needs to be a fringe player. If he's starting we're not recruiting well enough.

Souths are probably just pushing their luck on the absorption of some of his contract. They would be feeling the pinch next year especially.

If Doueihi ticks all the boxes with Madge, just sign him whether or not Souths contribute anything! Read somewhere that they were looking at (maybe) kicking in $100k. Previously it was zero. $100k in the context of the player market as it now is, is chicken feed.
