What's The Buzz this morning

SHOOSH IIII: Which former Test star and Fox Sports commentator met with Tigers coach Michael Maguire recently to discuss a coaching role?

Any ideas?

Anyone but Blocker. He can’t even get half the names of the players right and hes STILL not ever the merger. Pretty sure he thinks it’s Balmain Tigers out there running around. The less involved he is the better

Really poor form. How about demonstrating respect for his achievements. If Maguire wants him in that is his decision.

Is it true Souffs signed LM's brother Shaq on a TPA for Jenny Craig?????

Shaquie just signed with manly feeder club Blacktown

Reports saying he's snubbed Blacktown and gone to Souffs with out telling Blacktown

He starts as a prop and finishes the season playing on the wing. Another Jenny Craig success story.

I agree, he's a moron. The further that plum stays away the better.

Luke Lewis, Mark Gasnier, Michael Ennis, Matty Johns would add value to the team. Lewis is the one that fits Madge’s personality still trains harder than most NRL players in retirement. He still road runs daily past my workplace.

I know we have a lot of props but Jordan McLean is off contract in 2020 and hasn’t been extended by the Cowboys. We have Clarke and Eisenhuth Off contract. He would be a smart buy. Huge unit at 6’5 and 118kgs. He played for Australia not long ago and is 28. Packer, Mikalele, Musgrove are also off contract the following year.

I would keep Clark he is only young with a lot more development and maturity to come

McLean is better than Eiso.

I think Clarke is only gonna improve tho.

McLean doesn't strike me as a player Madge would go for.

... whens Nathan Brown off contract?
He signed him to souths yea? Maybe we could get him back.

Furthermore..

Brown dog is only contracted for this year.
Player option for next year.

Maybe.

I never said he didn’t have good achievements, great player in his day but if you’ve heard him commentate the bloke doesn’t understand modern footy and lives in the past, don’t think he’s suited for coaching at all.

Not hard to be better than Eiso. McLean doesn’t strike me as the kind of prop Madge likes - he’s big but he doesn’t really bend the line. Nathan Brown on the other hand is definitely someone suited for Madge but he is injury prone

Saw some interesting comments from Wendell Sailor this morning. He said Latrell Mitchell is not a fullback, and Wests are better off without him.

We're building a strong team rather than splurging on one single risky star. Must say I agree.

Blocker has his failings, as do we all, but nobody can doubt his love of our club. He had a terrific record as a player and was one of the best front rowers to ever play the game. If Madge reckons he can help the team, good enough for me.

Figured out why Moses Mbye wasn’t there - he’s currently in camp with the Queensland team by the looks of it.

There’s a few interesting names in that maroons 33 man squad, including Jake Friend and Philip Sami.
Maybe we should make a play for Sami?

Tried and failed on Sami. Bad miss that one aswell. He’s a gun.

This is where though the player loan/trade option is a great idea. Titans Just lost a forward. Tigers have an abundance of them. Could of sent one there for Sami and have solved the left wing problem for 2020.

That could still work if all parties agree of course and the NRL doesn’t set a limit of 1 trade per year?
