Seriously Blocker loves the club but he can’t coach - he has had many many years as forward coach / mentor over the years.

We need to move away from the love for legends and actually have the best coaches that will make a difference. We need week in week out dedication who will focus on game review/strength/weakness areas & know how to improve the players.

Sure let Blocker in at LO and bring Tommy in at CS for a motivation rev up speech but keep them away from the coaching please - we can do alot better.

Isn't Maguire best to make that decision? And on your post, having many many years as a forwards coach suggests either knowledgeable people rate him or they all have no idea. Which one is it?

Exactly. Pretty much written off anyone over 45 as being a coach if that is a criteria.

Maguire is best to make these decisions, that’s pretty obvious. Blocker got sacked from two clubs where he was the forwards coach and hasn’t done it since, clearly he didn’t do a fantastic job. Can’t say he helped our forward pack when he was here. Anyway let’s just wait and see what happens.

Can’t agree, Walters was always signed as more of a 5/8 depth player not guaranteed first grade, and Simpkin is on a development contract and wouldn’t be expecting first grade this year.

Hooker is key position and simpkin will learn heaps and the tigers need one spot to leave open,Walters is backup for both halves.We have to watch trials to see where the talent lies. Cini and Simpkin may be upgraded as maybe others , be patient we have smart people in control,

No way Simkins can’t play top grade till after round 16 and is basically first year out of junior football. Maguire said from day one Walters was signed to give us 6 and 7 coverage and a pinch play nine.

Grant is a very very smart signing that still leaves a pathway for both Simkins and Liddle if they are good enough come 2021
