Was it Momo who passed it to Cory’s ankles when a simple through the hands was a certain try?..Is that some sort of 4D chess footy smarts that simple people cant work out?

Haha - yes it was - good comeback! Bellamy would get that out of him!!
But 1st half he did force a handling error by Gagai with some good rushing defence... we scored off that subsequent set.
Overall there's much more upside to the young centre and I won't be to upset if he doesn't swap out for the season.

Plenty of upside and potential, but I cant see why people are mentioning him in the same breath as ET, Hodges or Manu.

I hope he continues to develop. if he can force himself into a centre gig in this squad he will be doing well. IMO the second centre position is up for grabs

I posted previously about chasing Frizell. I think he could be the leader that our young pack could follow and would certainly provide some experience. I’d be prepared to offer him plenty as gaining a player like him might also go a long way to helping us become the destination club that quality players want to play for.

Tyson is an Illawarra player through and through. I could not envisage that he would want to spend so much time commuting to South western Sydney when he could remain on the beautiful coast at a club comparable to ours. We should be prioritising fast backs and if in the .market for a second row forward purchased that good young player the Titans purchased from the Knights

I think we need to remind ourselves that it's not about where our club is based (Parra and Penrith e.g. sign plenty). Players like Frizel will come to our club when we start achieving results.

And what has Penrith achieved in recent years? Or Newcastle for that matter?

Newcastle attracted some very good players and burnt them.

We can expect a few players to overplay in the early games such as that dumb pass. This is a result of having depth. Competition doesn’t always translate to excellence.
atm, I think Moma is the 2nd best centre we have.

The Tigers coach reckons his heart skipped a beat when Paul Momirovski’s knee got twisted and the centre came buckling out of a tackle.

The Tigers confirmed on Saturday morning Momirovski actually injured his ankle and will be sidelined for two to three weeks. The question the Wests Tigers now really want answered is where is the Momirovski-Harry Grant exchange deal with the Melbourne Storm up to?

And the answer is we should get a clearer picture in the next 72 hours once the Melbourne Storm make their next move.

The exchange deal for Momirovski to go to Melbourne Storm for this season and young gun Harry Grant to become the Wests Tigers hooker looked all sewn up bar the shouting.

The paperwork has been submitted to the NRL.Trouble is, the Storm made a miscalculation in relation to their salary cap and as it sits right at the moment they can’t quite fit him in. It’s believed that the move would put the Storm club over the cap by as little as $15,000.

The Tigers need an answer by Monday or Tuesday next week because if it’s not happening then captain Moses Mbye needs to start training at hooker.

Mbye has spent some time in at dummy-half over the summer but if the Grant deal’s off, he’s the Tigers No. 9 for round one.

Jebuz, thought after clarifying with Russ that I believe Momi is to Wests Tigers (in comparison with Joey M) still the best attacking finisher we’ve had since EVER... he is as good as Joey Manu was at the same age without the same skill set and brash attitude Or the same bunch of Roosters players alongside to inflate his value.

My point was that comparing Rankin to Momi is more akin to comparing Rankin AND Joseph Manu! Absolutely stupid. I’ll reiterate.

He’s a gem and as good as we’ve got!

Should we start with 8 tries is a ridiculously low amount of tries to start hyping a bloke as "***the best try scorer in the team***" (in a team that contains Benji 82, Lawrence, 84 or Nofo 57) or start with how ridiculous it is to hype a bloke who has only played 11 games for us and 13 in his life.

Kid is a first grader no doubt but the hype is ridiculous. He is definitely not first centre picked and would be lucky to get picked at centre at all. Will have to beat Mbye and Talau to get it. He might and I hope he goes onto great things.

I see your point, but we're going off now, not the past. Chris Lawrence is a legend, but he ain't gonna score more tries than Momo in 2020

Momo is a good player, should be pushing hard for that second centre spot, but that is his level *at this stage*. Competing with Mbye and Talau for that spot.

I suppose the issue is pretty simple at the moment ....Mbye is 9 ...Momo is close to a starting spot

we have had him for years and failed we need to try something different and Madge isna defensive coach Nofo can score a try or two but geez he lets in a try or two

If Nofa doesn’t do well in the trials his spot will be up for grabs. He’s definitely more suited to 13 a side though.

It's funny how some muppets talk about hype of Momo. There is no hype. Few outside our club know he exists.
But based on last season he's ahead of Nof, Jennings, Mbye, Talau... No one's saying he's an elite origin superstar but he's the most dangerous back we currently have. It's that simple. If you don't rate him you must think the rest of our boys are pathetic.

We should make a big play for Tabui-Fidow.

With the cows signing holes for a million, and with the likes of drinkwater, Clifford and Morgan in the fullback /halves at best he may get a shot on the wing. But he's still competing with feldt etc.

Would add some pace and x factor. Good size too. Show him the love Madge. Main problem is he's a North Queensland local boy
