Momo definately has the jump on Talau. In fact i dont know where all this talk of Talau playing first grade comes from. No way he starts the season at centre. The hype around momo is more realistic than this hype around Talau.

What was the go with Talau in yesterdays game against the Titans .. he looked and totally disinterested out there .. his movement was like he was injured and never got out of a jog in both attack and defence .. ?? not a good impression imposing upon the coach for a guy wanting to play 1st grade .. !! I never saw that young kid on a train to play contract with us play .. Matheson Johns on the weekend .. did he get a run .. ?? Watched that Stefanio Utoikamanu play for the Slimies during the 9's .. umm he didn't impress me much .. big guy yes, but he didn't have much enthusiasm. Saw him take few hit ups .. he plodded into the defence and was way too easy to be tackled for guy with his reputation .. !! I hope he displays more effort come the regular season .. !!

What did every team have that made them successfully during the 9's .. ? SPEED .. !! What are we lacking in .. ?? SPEED .. !! What do we need to be going after now as our 30th player for this season .. someone with real SPEED .. !!

What a speedster Sami is! Gosh, I reckon he went from 30 to 38 k p h in a blink to score.

Momirovski looks bigger , stronger, faster than last year. Love what I'm seeing of him in the 9's. Don't let him slip away!!!

He looked slower to me TBH. I wouldn't have him starting the season due to that.

Neither do I. I don’t see the appeal. Not fast, doesn’t really bust tackles. Can’t see him in the 17.

But he manages to score tries easier than anyone else in the team.

Yep. Where do you want to start? Should we start with 8 tries is a ridiculously low amount of tries to start hyping a bloke as "***the best try scorer in the team***" (in a team that contains Benji 82, Lawrence, 84 or Nofo 57) or start with how ridiculous it is to hype a bloke who has only played 11 games for us and 13 in his life.

Kid is a first grader no doubt but the hype is ridiculous. He is definitely not first centre picked and would be lucky to get picked at centre at all. Will have to beat Mbye and Talau to get it. He might and I hope he goes onto great things.

At this stage - he is twice the centre of Talau and Mbye is not a centre by any stretch of the immagination, he isn't anything - a typical player that can play a number of positions and not be great at any of them.

Come back to me when you work out when Benji, Rowdy or Nofo scored 8 tries in 11 games. Forget how many tries they scored or how many games they have played. Just answer t he question.

It's funny how some muppets talk about hype of Momo. There is no hype. Few outside our club know he exists.
But based on last season he's ahead of Nof, Jennings, Mbye, Talau... No one's saying he's an elite origin superstar but he's the most dangerous back we currently have. It's that simple. If you don't rate him you must think the rest of our boys are pathetic.

Our biggest problem was a complete lack of creative. No-one seemed to be able to put someone through a gap.

If Madden or Mbye get anywhere near a playmaker role this year, we are in all sorts of trouble.

Even Walters signature move (dummy, step and run) will not get far in a 13 man game.

He will be lucky to be picked at centre. Leilua and Mbye will be first picked. The only way Momo is in with a shot is if Mbye has to play 9.

If the swap doesn’t happen offloading Jennings doesn’t really affect us - but why would we do it? It’s the final year of his contract, so it’s not like we would free up salary cap for the future

Only reason they would do it is if they want to free up cap this year to sign someone else or there’s someone they want in the top 30 besides him otherwise we are strengthening another team for no reason.

1 How much do I need to chip in to make it more attractive to the Rorters.

2 Don'think the Rorters are that stupid.

3 Jennings is not going to strengthen any team. that includes the Gulargambone
Wanders 'A' grade team.

Sorry Russ but that’s not true. Mbye is a far better centre. Faster, more skilful, better defender. Momo was never getting the centre spot ahead of him.

Losing him also takes out depth in our outside backs.

Exactly. At the very least he’s depth. Would rather have him there than Get rid of him for no reason so I doubt it happens. He looked good at the nines so maybe he will surprise people. Probably starts the year in reserves though

But 9's is a different game ......we seemed to be playing almost to a set game plan

Tigers must know the swap deal is off Leilua, Momirovski, Nofa, Douhei, Thompson, Mbye in the backs. Jennings is surplus to requirements and we have some good kids coming through Talau, Cini and possibly Bradley.
