Let's be real...did we want him? He changed club because he wanted to play fullback, yet he cant even run the ball like a fullback and isn't built/fit enough for a fullback...his time at the bunnies so far has been shocking, glad we didn't sign him...hes a center...period

I still think Latrell would’ve killed it under Madge. He turned Inglis into a gun fullback he Could’ve done the same with Latrell.

Problem is Latrell would’ve had to buy into Madge’s coaching and doing the tough stuff, which is why I think he went to Rabbitohs, knew he’d be able to cruise there.

He would play his best footy if he came to us and bought into Madge’s training. Instead he chose the easy option so can’t be upset we didn’t get him. I’m a fan of Doueihi at the back and think he can offer a lot at fullback

Yeah but saying that players get pre season training so much easier under Bennett is ridiculous

Having worked directly under Steve Nance and indirectly under Kelvin Giles they don't tolerate slackers

Having a dozen or more rep players in your team doesn't hurt either. Probably more of a factor than training methods IMO.

Having a dozen or more rep players in your team doesn't hurt either. Probably more of a factor than training methods IMO.

Ask any player who played under Kelvin Giles how hard a trainer he was

Remember this bloke came from the armed forces and had trained athletics previously

Have heard blokes like Lazarus ,Lewis , Kevin Walters say the hardest training in their lives was under Giles

I’m not saying it was his only motive, but from what I’ve heard and read, Bennett allowing him to visit Taree whenever he pleases was a big part of him signing there.

Latrell clearly didn’t want to buy into Madge’s strictness and toughness because we also offered more money. Looking at Latrell when pre season started that was pretty obvious he looked about 120kg.

Once he gets fitter throughout the year he’ll go well for bunnies. Would’ve been a lot quicker and more effective if he came here that’s for sure.
