I still think Latrell would’ve killed it under Madge. He turned Inglis into a gun fullback he Could’ve done the same with Latrell.

Problem is Latrell would’ve had to buy into Madge’s coaching and doing the tough stuff, which is why I think he went to Rabbitohs, knew he’d be able to cruise there.

He would play his best footy if he came to us and bought into Madge’s training. Instead he chose the easy option so can’t be upset we didn’t get him. I’m a fan of Doueihi at the back and think he can offer a lot at fullback

Bennett didn't win 7 premierships letting players bludge in the off season

When’s the last time he won a premiership?

I’m not saying Bennett isn’t a hard coach, every coach is a hard coach, but he certainly won’t be working as hard as he would be with Madge.

Bennett is also known as a coach who looks after his players immensely, like letting Latrell visit Taree whenever he feels like and having time off. He would be cruising at bunnies compared to being with us.

How many finals appearances does Bennett have in x amount of years

Hows madge going

I'm not knocking Madge or trying to pump Bennetts tyres up but saying a player signs with a coach because his work load will be less ....

I’m not saying it was his only motive, but from what I’ve heard and read, Bennett allowing him to visit Taree whenever he pleases was a big part of him signing there.

Latrell clearly didn’t want to buy into Madge’s strictness and toughness because we also offered more money. Looking at Latrell when pre season started that was pretty obvious he looked about 120kg.

Once he gets fitter throughout the year he’ll go well for bunnies. Would’ve been a lot quicker and more effective if he came here that’s for sure.

I won't be surprised if Latrell is ancient history as a player in 4-5 years

My money is on more like 1-2 years.

2 years he will be banging the door down at the WT's on his motorbike and his gun rack

Lol yeah probably. And sadly we'd be dumb enough to fork out big cash for the washed-up fool.

Probably needs to go back to centre. His laziness on the field will make him a useless fullback and he doesn’t seem keen on fixing it. At least he can get helped by the players around him at centre

I can’t see him worth the money he is on now at the rabbits in 2 years time unless he has a complete turn around in his attitude and gets fit and fires in the NRL

The right attitude is the most important thing when it comes to getting to the top, talent only takes you so far.LM lacks a lot in the correct attitude dept.I honestly doubt he will find it especially witth the likes of Mundine advising him he will always be looking for the easy excuse

Young Tonumaipea is looking for an NRL club. He’s a pretty handy backup winger that could earn a spot in the top grade side, plus he would be cheap. Do we need another winger to fill out our top 30 or not?

Obviously he wouldn’t be registered right away but if we could somehow get him for this season it wouldn’t be bad I think.

Would be a good signing in that he has experience in storm system so Madge's training won't bother him, we just lost an outside back in Momers and can play centre, wing, fullback.

He will def pick up an NRL contract you'd think especially given most teams now have extra positions to fill with NRL squads going from 30 to 32 and most having only 29 on the book anyway

Personally though id say we will upgrade 3 of our youngsters into the squad now

U can scrap fullback from momers list

We experienced that last year, and it wasn't the best

I never rated him. Bellamy can take an ordinary non spine player, get them to fit the storm system and make them look ok. Take them out of that system and they get shown for what they are

If Russell Packer doesn't get back to full health we need that last spot to be a prop

Yeah he’s never a guy that stood out. Did okay on the wing but was surrounded by good players, probably wouldn’t do too much for us.

Have a feeling we will promote a young guy for the final roster spot. Seems like it will be difficult to sign a new player in a time like this.

This lockdown is basically a weeding for the people in reserve

We will see who wants to play 1st grade badly, judging by how they look and play coming out
