Surely dragons can’t hold onto Saab. He’s asked for a release and he wants out how long can they deny him? Only way they can try fix it is by starting him on the wing in the future games, and he probably deserves the spot anyway.

I reckon that was always the plan, they were probably just waiting to see if there was any improvement in the side this season before it was interrupted by COVID. It's obvious, even after just one game back, that nothing has changed. Mary's overwhelming underachievement with the talent he has had at his disposal over the past 2-3 seasons is almost criminal! Reminds me of Nathan Brown, though Brown did get the Dragons in contention, they just kept on choking when it mattered most.

I cant believe that people on here, think MADDEN is ist grade type. He was crap in Canterbury cup. We already have a 5/8 in waiting , Walters , kid can play , good defender and a great runner of the ball. Him and brooks could be great together.

“We’re just finetuning a few things now,” Tartak told The Daily Telegraph.

“We’re looking at a multi-year deal with Corey stepping into the starting team immediately.

“The position he plays and the leadership he brings to a team like that will bring the Titans on leaps and bounds.

“We’re working on him for next week but hopefully it will happen this week.”

Thompson was the Tigers leading tryscorer last year with nine tries from 22 games but was moved to the bench for fullback Adam Douehi.

It is believed that the opportunity to take on a bigger role and move closer to his family were the key drivers behind the move.

I just hope that Thompson gets at least what he was on here, but he really deserves a bit more.

He came to us a player who had played most recently in England, and as a player who was not expected to play much First Grade. He did play First Grade, being picked at the start of the season over players many of us thought were ahead of him. His heart and will to perform outshone. He became a valuable player to our team, one who despite everything that happened will probably be most renowned for being one of our gutsiest players who never gave up trying.

If he joins the Titans, he will be a major asset for that team and they will certainly be a better squad for his inclusion. He contributes more than the mere sum of his parts.

If he would like to stay a Wests Tiger a bit longer, good on him, I can completely understand not wanting to leave our club.

Doubt it per the squad naming rules, but happy for him to play against us this week if available for them.

I agree, that they need to find a way to get rid of him. Just how they do they that and find a replacement that won't immediately be white anted by Flannagan, remains to be seen.

Just happy that we seem to have put our coaching debacles behind us for the time being.

Cory is very lucky if he gets himself a 3 year deal, think titans would be a bit silly to sign him for that much even if he’s not on much money. Happy for him though he deserves it

Madden looked good to me in his first grade game. Obviously not the finished product yet but looks like a fine organising half who can kick. Looks to me to be a good partner for Brooks.

So he may become head of the advisory committee and push his agenda a little more

No matter how anyone looks at it, Flanagan is not there to sweep floors or peel oranges
He is in line for Mary's job
It's not a matter of if but when this will happen
