Keep in mind Thompson has 18 months left on his contract with us. He's only getting a one year extension on the same money he's on here, perhaps slightly more.

Is there chance for a trade
Is there anyone they have in their team that we could use to strengthen a position
If we were after Saab and we can't get him would we still release Thompson
Or do we have someone else lined up
Possibly a south's winger so that frees up money for Addo-carr
Just a thought

Yes I know but they need to release someone to free up funds
Also Melbourne wants someone in return
There is even a possibility of a 3 way trade
But that's all speculation on my behalf

Just spoke to Corey Thompson's manager, Mario Tartak. He's hoping 3yr deal with the @GCTitans will be agreed to over the w'end. He stressed there is no chance Corey will play for Titans on Sunday- Tigers wouldn't want to release him to play against his fmr team. @9NewsGoldCoast

I'd take Don. He's no world beater (he can't make their 17 at the moment) but he's a proven tryscorer with size, he's 10x the player Jennings is IMO.

Yes, played centre in the Aust schoolboys team and his centre partner was Bronson Xerri. He played for Wests Tamworth and his younger brother Cody is also a very good centre.

People really want Anthony Don.... he can’t even make first grade at the titans. He’s 32, we wouldn’t get rid of Thompson for someone who’s older and probably not as good.

It appears Momo is the big loser in this swap deal. We come out ok because we have a pretty handy DH for the season. Grant comes out ok because he gets NRL experience and a chance to show how good he is. Melbourne come out ok as they get to see how good the heir apparent to Cammy is and he gets some NRL experience before going back south. Momirovski gets to sit on the sideline and gets no match fitness whatsoever.

Hopefully he can get a run sooner rather than later. A lot of people were worried thinking we would get the short end of the stick with this deal but it’s pretty clear we’ve come off better
