@Teddy23 i reckon they would have a fair bit of interest in Momo comes from a good system like the Roosters but they wouldnt be interested in BJ, Momo could be the carrot to get JAC.

Would be amazing if we could do a straight up swap I’d pull the trigger on that ASAP

I just think Melbourne would want more and if push comes to shove I’d offer BJ allows JAC to play wing and we can finally move Talau in the centres cause if we bring in JAC either Mbye or BJ lose there centre spot you’d like to think

Unfortunately moving Mbye on would be a bit difficult due to him being on big money and BJ shows flashes but is rocks and diamonds so I wouldn’t be too disappointed if we lose either tbh if it results in us getting JAC - in my head I wanna see our centre pairing be Talau and Doueihi then we go get a big name fullback but that’s just me

AD has been one of best all season at fullback. No idea why anyone would want to move him.

CHN and Johnston for me would be great pick ups and at reasonable tariff.
No to Elliot ..... what we need is a tough forward leader. That’s a priority.
So we know McQueen, Taylor, Lawrence, Grant and possibly MCK, Seyfarth & Clark in the forwards and Jennings, Smith and Marshall in the backs are leaving.
Stefano signed and Momo returning going the other way. Simpkins, Madden and Hoffman possibly being promoted. If there is a reduction in NRL squad numbers to say 27 .... then that still leaves us with about 3 positions to fill.


Seyfarth & Clark in the forwards are leaving.

When dis happen????

There was talk Clark could pursue business opportunities next season rather than play NRL so .... I did say possibly!

Play Momo as a winger if we need to or if Reynolds goes to super league or another club then Mmbye to 6 and Momo to centre.
No idea regarding a winger as i think JAC and AJ are both unrelaistic maybe Koro but not at 600k or anywhere near that.

They need a 7 so Luke Brooks
They need a winger so Nofo
i dont think Melbourne would want anyone else Brooks takes a 7 role with Munster and Nofo takes JAC or Vunivalu wing spot.
We get Grant
We then need to play Madden or Mmbye at 7 and Reynolds or Walters at 6
However in doing this trade we would keep Harry Grant a future Qld and Kangaroo number 9 and we can put Momo in the centres.
Before everyone starts yes players have to want to move and all that and b. trading Nofo is like killing bambi to some on this forum but Melbourne are not going to go for
Mmbye, Rowdy, Joey Leiluia or Reynolds etc.

Idk at the end of the day I just can’t see us making a deep run in the finals with him as our fullback which is the goal I’m assuming - due to him not being fast enough (support play lacks), doesn’t really offer much X factor attacking wise, ball playing is decent and positioning needs work but that comes with experience I guess however he is very good under the high ball

I think defensively he is strong, runs hard and is hard is tackle and his passing game is decent like I said so he can set up wingers I think he has the potential to be a very very good centre

The club once they get rid of Packer, Mbye, Reynolds and McQueen will have a massive war chest and in terms of forwards I think we’re 1-2 forwards away from our pack being complete so we have the ability to chase a big name fullback

For fullbacks:

I’d at least attempt to throw the kitchen sink at Tedesco I’m talking 1.3m - if he wins 3 straight he might think he has done everything there and might want a new challenge

Even Nick Cotric has the ability be an absolute gun at fullback

Next year November we can talk to players like RTS, Papenhyzen, Gutherson and Joseph Manu

Just my opinion, I’m happy to keep him there for another season or two and see if he can develop but if not I think he has the perfect playing style to be an incredible centre

If Cleary Snr or Jnr were to crawl through broken glass from Penrith to Concord i'd still turn them around and make them do it again. They should never be welcomed at our club ever. But in saying that i dont think they would want to or dare to, Cleary is on my ACL list along with Matterson and Moses.

Come 2021 I’d like to see this backline
1.Doueihi (safest fullback but does need to work on his speed)
2.Nofo (JAC would be an upgrade but Nofo bleeds for this club)
3.BJ (great centre even with the Fades)
4.Talau (enough said)
5.Isaako (fantastic goal kicker and reminds me of RTS)
6.Mbye (love watching him and brooks combine...great defender and has an elite level passing game)
7.Brooks (enough said)

Has anyone thought that maybe Melbourne would like to have Harry back but won't get too caught up in a legal fight if C Smith plays on. They have BSmith so will hardly struggle if Harry departed to whoever potentially signed him. We are a more desperate club than the Storm and Harry would do more for us than Melbourne if BSmith is playing hooker. Just a thought.
