Dean Pay just quit, wonder what that means for our chances of getting CHN

I’d be keeping a close eye on Penrith over these next couple of months.
Cast your memory back to 2015 and how they self imploded, albeit they had their share of injuries.
Strange times.
Cleary: Coach
Trent Barrett: assistant coach
Api Koroisau: backup hooker
I’m not convinced Penrith will be happy again, to go through all that, again.

Ye ole Game manager blaaaaaaaaaaah cliche..

How about we just recruit blokes who run harder and tackle harder than the opposition for 80mins week in week out..

I don't care who they are..

So true mate.

We certainly overthink it.

Blokes with passion, toughness, speed and desire. Is it that hard?

Should notify the recruitment team they have not seen the memo for years now .

All the best teams win because they have good game managers though. We struggle to gain momentum after we have lost it and we struggle to put teams away. Both goes down to - guess what - game management.

Yeah I’m with Geo here.
Please go back and check the turning points in the last 2 games. Swap our halves around only! And convince me we win our last two games.

Surely we make a play at CHN makes a lot of sense for us. A lot of other clubs need back rowers too though hopefully the bloke who said CHN wants to come here is right

We could take him this year, some clubs couldn’t

Good point. You’d think we’d be in a position to offer more than Canberra for sure.

They did get cap compensation for Bateman and we’ve only got Thompson’s money so probably about even

I think we have more than Thompsons money, he wasn't on minimum wage, Blore come in on minimum wage, so there was some fat already there

I was just thinking we are in our second year of a $650,000 cap reduction for the Robbie Farrah sarga
You know, offering Robbie a job after football
So my question is
Has Robbie taken up a role with the wests Tigers
Have we paid him any money
If not why the hell are we being penalised for something that has never eventuated
If this is the case why don't the Tigers appeal against the penalty and have the penalty over turned
Surely Vlandies would look at this through different eyes

Tell that to Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk, Mitchell Moses, Josh Hodgson, Nathan Cleary etc etc. all these good teams have guys that kick deep into corners, turn the opposition around, find repeat sets, make the right passes and the right kicks at critical times. That’s game management and that’s something we lack

Of course it’s backed up by those guys who run Hard and tackle hard but you need both, you need your halves taking control of a game.

You need your forwards to not to give away stupid penalties and the side can’t capitalise on field possession when they are making simple errors, like playing the ball.

If your caught in the act of an armed robbery you still get thrown in jail. Pascoe put his hand up and admitted fault, its over.

Adam Reynolds or Clearly for Brooks? Pure speculation but I'd back us to win both games.

Ok well if we are going on pure speculation here.
Are we suggesting that the errors we are making with the ball before we are getting into good field position and including in defence, getting off the line early and not being square at marker and holding down for longer than required in the ruck are all due to the increased pressure that a lack of a game manager in the side in assisting the team in controlling field position?
What I’m saying is, do the players feel they need to push the limits a bit more than necessary because we don’t have Brooks or our 5/8 kicking to corners and doing more to influence the flow of the game?
The only person I can attribute this suggestion to is Nofo who seems to do everything he can to get our team on the front foot, but the others making mistakes I put down as careless.

whynot blake green for an out and out 7, not flashy but steers a side around the park.

thought he was pretty good at manly before warriors gig, hard to rate now

Obviously discipline is very important, but we got stuck in our own half for a lot of the game making 30 metres a set. Someone like Cameron Smith or Cronk would put a great kick deep into the corner early in the set, get the defence up there and swing momentum around. We didn’t do that once

Still think we should target Jared Wallace, would easily be able to get him effective immediately if we pushed for it and Gold Coast would pay for some of his contract you’d think

Having a poor year tbh but last year had a whooping average of 15 runs and 138 meters and defensively is strong couldn’t find average tackle numbers however had a 95% tackle efficiency

A change of clubs could do him wonders and bring back that SOO form

We need forwards so would be good and will defs help our chances of making the 8

188cm and 109kg. 28 years old.
Thought he was great at the broncos and his first year at the titans. Been pretty terrible since.
Not sure if he is even in their starting forward pack but I agree. Would be a decent pick up.
How much do we want to pay for that experienced prop?
450 max I reckon.

We need fast backs not more props,

You only have to look at the recent Storm/Rorters game..it was a mistake-a-thon for most of the game..no one from either team managed that game..what it did have is 2 teams with strike power, speed and desire to turn up for your mate..

Had it been game managed by either team it would never gone to Golden point..

The top teams control a game by the whole TEAM managing the game..not 1 or 2 individuals..

Now look at Manly where I'm told by Coops and the crew that DCE is one of the best 'game managers' in the business who haven't fired a shot since Turbo and Walker went down and just had 30 put on them by the Dragons..

It's cool tho.. Game Management terminology is cute for the younger generation
