I agree, he has been playing hooker and centre, and he is a five eighth making a good fist of it, but he is Nathans mate, so he will stay at Penrith I would suspect

I don't think you were asking me, but honestly no I haven't watched him lately. I can't stand to watch Panthers games. He was talked about as a big thing, and I saw him in the centres and I thought he was meant to be the next big thing last year, so I looked up his profile and saw he was off contract next year.

Made some cracker passes this year.

I’m more implying that Brooks role has been shifted from halfback to 5/8.
Do we really want to field a side with two 5/8s?
Doueihi is not quicker than Brooks. But makes far more half breaks and tackle breaks. Don’t get me wrong I like Brooks, just think we/he need a fresh go.
And I know his young but after watching Madden I just see him as the player to replace Brooks in the 7 not play along side him.

If we make a commitment to Brooks as our halfback, different story I guess.
Currently he has a 35 year old that has never been known as a game manager keeping him out of it.

I’m not even sure Cleary did. Remember from the moment we signed Cleary there was talk of him wanting his Son to play for him. Maybe that challenge spurred Brooks on, who knows.
