Eisenhuth gone huh. That's disappointing. He's finally kicked on in his 4th year with us. Seems a waste to invest so much time in his development only for another club to reap the rewards. I think he'll do well wherever he ends up.

Club wants to retain him but has been asked to be patient while roster is turned over a little bit understand that if something comes along from another club that he needs to look after himself.

Sorry for all the questions, what’s the club doing player retention wise? Obviously it’s hard with next year being uncertain of squad sizes but surely they are at least in early discussion with some guys who are free to talk to other clubs come November

Only 2 players off contract in 2021 have had extensions discussed (Aloiai & Twal) but early days.

In regards to the squad size has the nrl set a date to decide

At this point no & clubs are getting increasingly frustrated.

Any internal talks of an experienced backrower i.e Proctor or Harris, or is this just media suggestions?

The daily telegraph is reporting Canterbury have withdrawn their offer for Foran. He wants a 2-3 year deal - but is willing to take a 70% pay cut, which would put him at around $300k-$350k a season.

I would take the risk, if he stays injury free it’s great value for money, if not we can use another of our halves. 10 games 11 try assists and 2 tries for a team coming last is pretty impressive.

I'd take him in a heartbeat at that price.

How many games has Foran been able to string together the last couple of years. Sorry but end up another waste of money. Bunty could be a good buy. 23 years old 68 NRL games 111kgs. Only downside missed this season with an ACL injury.

I don't think it's an upgrade from Benji & Eiso myself, don't underestimate club men, remember when we lost Heighno, Beau & Gibbs, they had undervalued team cohesion qualities

Samoan connection could be about to add another player to the club with Bunty Afoa’s name discussed this week. Warriors keen to offload & free up a Roster spot. Will pay majority of 2021 deal if needed.

Can’t compare him to Eisenhuth.

I just don't see Bunty as superior to Eiso plus I think a degree of loyalty to those that have served you well has undervalued benefit

I tend to believe the Dragons will have to release him. As we well know, there is nothing to be gained from keeping a player who wants out.

Why not have both? It is not as though we are overrun with 6ft 6inch wingers who can run like the wind.

Surely if we’re considering JAC at fullback then we should be trying to sign Saab as a winger anyway. If Charlie Staines or Daine Laurie are available tho, the club should go hard for them because they’re future stars

He's only young for a prop but has some NRL experience. With Packer and Aloiai leading he will come on well.

Love the optimism Jedi, I truly do, but until we get rid of JR, MM, Packer,RJ, McQueen and a few others, about 3.5-4 million in cap, we can't afford any, let alone three such quality players.
