Sironen or Anasta

Its a big call to start next season relying on Sironen to be our #1 5/8 . Look how many young have broken down with injury i reckon curtis should be in the background developing and no pressure , thats where anastas experience will help . Look at what happen to benji thrown straight into grade broke down tedesco , sonny bill , and as sheens has said they dont play there best footy till 23-25 yrs old . Look at bryce Gibbs compare him playing now to when he was 20-22yrs hes a leader now.

Bryce Gibbs is a prop and they mature later. Tedesco could have sustained that injury running in the local park or playing 20's. I do agree that young players should have a different training regime than an older player. More emphasis on flexibility than muscle. No use building up the muscles if the tendons and ligaments cannot cope with it.

Anasta to start at 5/8 and Sirro to take over at 25 min mark.

if they think curtis' future is in the backrow, they should move him there now imo.

We have about 8 back rowers that could hold their own in FG for next season but no one that has looked as promising in the halves alongside benji tig, probably the wrong time to move him. BMM, Heighno, Fults, Bodene, Pettybourne, Bell, Moors and hopefully Anasta.

I agree, after Prince, Sironen & Marshall combo is the only one that worked, so why push him to 2nd rower when we have Ellis, Blair, Fulton, Bell, BMM , Heignington, Moors, Davis & Harris? :brick:

It would hurt his overall development, and right now his best position is 5/8 and probably will be for the next couple of years.

Yeah look at Luke Lewis, he basically played every position in the back line before moving to the forwards later in his career and is now one of the best in the game.

At first i didn't mind that we'd signed Anasta, but now that this kid has emerged i don't think we need him. We're going to have a plethora of depth in the back-row next yr with Blair, Fults, Heigno, BMM, Pettybourne, Thompson and maybe even Bell. The way things are looking i would have rathered we signed another prop because it looks as though we're going to be skinny again in that area next year. A guy like Justin Poore would have been handy, and pretty cheap to boot

The Tigers will be a better team with Anasta then without him. Yeah we are heavy with backrowers but that's where Anssta plays his best footy. He killed in the backrow when Carney played 6 for the Roosters. He'll also help young Curtis along which will be invaluable. But I do agree that we are looking light on for props again next year. Either Pettyborne or Thompson should've been Poore…

pettybourne will play prop next year.. i can see it. we will also have groat to pick as well i think.

i would say we are maybe a couple of props short still.

I still shake my head when I think of Anasta playing with WT next year. He is one dude I thought would never don our colours. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he will bring to the team - heaps of big game experience and another good goal kicker for a start!
