Sirro out for six weeks broke his middle toe.

Look that's not a bad result considering NRL.com said it was his knee and the TV said ankle

Will miss three games going off 6 weeks Sad but at least its not season ending

Could be worse. Lachlan Coote looks like he's done his ACL.

Injuries were unavoidable this weekend

Feel for young Coote ….. What a relief for Siro as I was thinking the worst ,missing three games is not a drama back row covered at the moment.

Wait up, this doesn;t gel at all with a broken toe?
Teammate and close friend James Tedesco revealed the versatile playmaker injured his toe at training last week, and needed painkillers to take the field.

“I think he hurt it in the first game (against Gold Coast),” Tedesco said. “He sort of took it over with him. He did it at training a few days before. He had to needle it.

“The first run he didn’t feel too comfortable. I just don’t think he wanted to risk it.”

(it is the telecrap though, but it's quoting Teddy

Injury Update - Curtis Sironen

Curtis Sironen will be out for six weeks with injury after scans tonight revealed a fracture in his right foot.

Sironen suffered the injury early in the first half of the Wests Tigers’ NRL Auckland Nines match against Cronulla.

It is expected that Sironen will return to Australia tomorrow and will be operated on early in the week.

Delouise Hoeter, who was travelling with the team on stand-by, will come into the 16-man squad.

The 15-man team to face Newcastle in the final round match will be named tomorrow.

Kick-off for the match tomorrow is at 12:25pm.

Hoeter coming in?

Is BMM in the team already? He replaced Nofo right?

Make sense to replace winger with winger, back row with back row, we've done the opposite…

I imagine Potter felt we were a bit light on outside backs today. I certainly felt we were overweighted in forwards.

That is the reason I was dreading this competition, excited to watch footy but not at the expense of injuries

I never understand this mentality. Might as well not have trials either?

Truth is, from the first minute of the season the players are at risk, and you are gonna lose plenty of weeks to injury throughout the year, just depends who and for how long.

What's the difference between Siro getting hurt in the 9s vs Tedesco lasting 30 minutes in 2012?

About 21 weeks at a guess Sirro will be back by Round 3-4

Jirskyr I'll explain it to you , not every club is taking this competition serious and us for example that are using alot of inexperienced 1st graders from the under 20s to step up and tackle some big boys like Fafita and Dave Taylor 1 on 1 is putting you at massive risk.
We're as 13 aside you have alot more support around you , 2 can go in a tackle.
You are going to get injuries it is part of the game.
There giving $110,000 just to turn up and $130,000 to make the quarters so not much more of an incentive , so all we need is a team to turn up to pocket $110,000\. My team would be mostly of NSW cup players, we have had more of our fair share of injuries over the years and it's continued .

Looked a lot worse on field…
6 weeks isn't so bad....?

Sirro is the man, looking forward to a big season from him.
Quick recovery !
