Is it just me or is this guy way over rated,he is no NRL 5/8th,he has zero attack,a good straight run and ok defence,he is a lock at best.
I think he has got a ride because of his name,he goes missing for large parts of the game, and if Potter is true to his word then Sirro will be no where near the halves next week,he makes Miller look like Thurston in attack.

He is a ball runner and one of a number of players that would excel if we were a competitive football team.

Our core is just hopeless. We've got the makings but Marshall sucks and Potter hasn't decided who to stick at 7 and go with. If Marshall returns to form or gets sacked and we get a halfback, and somehow Galloway/Woods stay on the paddock together for any length we're very competitive.

He is good but there is no organization out there. And there never will be with Marshall at the helm. It's just random touch footy stuff with no tackling.

I dont think he goes missing, i think he has trouble getting the ball of marshall & Farah.

I thought he looked good tonight with limited opportunities. Jesus he's strong!

always said he is an edge second rower.. the lines he runs, his defense on both shoulders and his attitude.. he has to be 11 or 12… if not in NRL, then in state cup. why potter is picking him at 5/8, i have nfi

he is bloody strong though.. that run he did... 4 defenders couldnt put him down, he will be a killer 11 or 12 next year

however, that dog shot on barba was cheap... i like a hard man but cheap shots are a no no... not a good look

Looks to have a future as a backrower. I see no reason why he can't develop into a Matt Gillett/Alex Glenn type backrower.

Agreed. I think the changes required for us to be highly competitive aren't that much.

I also think Robbie needs to offer better service out of dummy half. There were a lot of passes that just weren't on the money.

As for Sirro. I think he has a role out there. I think he has looked better than Miller and I'm starting to warm to him.

He's no five eighth. His passing game is mediocre and same goes for his kicking game. But, his defense isn't great enough to be a lock. Excels at running the ball, but has little other strengths.

To be honest, he kind of reminds me of a bigger Daniel Mortimer with their strengths and weaknesses. Sirro is still young so there is still hope though.

He's been consistently rated as a rare talent by better football minds than mine, so I'm happy to wait and see. Looks like a real strong runner when he gets a chance, but I don't rate his ball-playing skills so much.

To be fair on the kid, he missed the pre season coming back from a long term injury and he's only 19 with little first grade experience. For him half the job is just learning on the run. It's not so much how much he improves now but how much he absorbs and how it helps him in the future. The same can be said for any of our young ones currently playing. Make no mistake though, he's only there till Anasta returns. Marshall and Anasta are the preferred option whilst Miller isn't in favour.

I see him being an edge back rower in a year or 2 but for the moment getting first grade experience at five eight. He tackles well and runs a great line. He needs to get more involved but in reality no half is going to do anything be it Benji,Sironen or thrust on and cronk behind a pack so comprehensively out muscled every week

He isn't a 5/8 at all. He has no vision in attack and isn't skillful with the ball and is too slow but he will develop into a very good lock or second row. He is really dangerous near the line and is extremely strong and will get stronger and bigger as he ages. I think the club should try to develop him as a forward now and I hope they send him back to the under 20s and play him at lock for large sections of this year. Maybe Potter keeps him at 5/8 to get him used to the speed and physicality of first grade before transitioning him to the forwards when he is older and more developed. It seemed to work for Wade Graham who primarily played as a 5/8 or half with the odd game in the forwards for his first few years in grade before making a permanent switch last year. Atm though its probably not good for the team to have him in 5/8.

Big bloke isn't quite having the same impact this year as he did last. He doesn't look anywhere near as confident.

I think maybe moving him to lock where he can concentrate on running the ball could be pretty beneficial to him.

Siro is the modern 5/8 big and strong give the kid a go…. Finding his feet, Benji can please himself the game is changing and Siro is at the right place at the right time forget about putting him in the forwards 5/8 is his position.
