What exactly is his role within the club? Apart from running the drinks I mean.

Same thing as what Folkesy did last year right?? High Performance Manager or something along those lines??

I ask these questions because throughout our poor start to this season his role in the debacle has not been questioned on this forum.

If that is indeed his role then based on what I have seen from the team so far this year he hasn't done his job. They look underdone and not as fit or focused as they did last year under Folkesy!! Just my opinion by the way.

I'd also like to mention that when he was a player the "Mayor of Minto" was my favourite player and I love the fact that we still get the pleasure of seeing him play a part on our team. But, is he qualified to get our boys in the peak physical and mental condition needed to compete as the so called "2012 Favourites"??

I believe he is the first grade fitness coach and the players look fit enough so I would suggest Skando is doing his job. I don't think it is his job to 'focus' the team just get them fit and keep them there. Great to see him still involved with the club.

He's the strength and conditioning coach. From what I've seen the players are fit enough and strong enough, they're been lacking the killer mentality IMO, which we saw against the Eels.

More like the team is lacking good on field leadership and some one with a brain who can take control of a game.

No way Smith and Cronk would have allowed Parramatta 5 tries in 16 minutes.

Love Skando and seems to be doing a fine good unlike Sheens (but that is another thread)

I don't know if this is Skando's job but re fitness the only player I've been dissappointed with is Lote who came back very unfit and overweight. I can't understand how that can happen from a wrist injury! You'd have to think with the correct rehab he could have hit the ground trimed down, running hard and with full cardio fitness. This has put him a couple of months behind where he should be and as we've all seen, at his age and size he needs to be the correct weight and fully fit.

I thought that most of the team had been struck down by the flu and it is understandable for them to have run out of puff as a result, heard about it pre game but didn't hear or read about it as an excuse post game.

Look at rd 1 v sharks… Their whole team was cramping and wrecked whilst yes the tigers were too but no where near as bad... Skando must be doing a good job in one of the most important roles in the coaching staff as our players do look fit... Certainly woodsy does

I think what we lack with not having folkes is his mentality he brought... Folkes appeared to be old school you know the "pain is your friend" "if he hits you hit him back harder" type of mentor

From rumors about how "razor" ray "cash man" cashmere trains and plays I think he may bring this back to the club and be a great leader in regards to mentality and work ethic
