You still need to fill a mandatory 25 man squad. So when you release players you need to promote from younger grades or bring someone else in.

The new tv deal won't make any difference at all to clubs and how close they are to the cap because as above it's a percentage of any increase clause in the majority of cases. Also the cap has only gone to 5 million and we are talking about the next 3 yrs not just next yr
