So Manly…real deal or will the bubble burst?

I find it astounding that a bloke who has never coached a day in his life has done what he has done with this team. Has he just come in on the top of the foundation built by Seibold and tweaked it, or does he truly have the skills and know how to be an NRL coach? And will this form last the entire season?

He's been lucky with players available, two of their best out last night and they just scraped in.

Let's see how good he is if the injuries mount up.
Players available? They are testing their depth now… no turbo, olukuatu , Lehi or koula.. and they still won they had Josh feledy, Jackson Sherab and Blake Wilson last night, they also used their rookie Joey Walsh for a few weeks while Fogarty was out. They have better depth then wests…

The playing roster always had the potential it’s almost the same squad that was in the 2021 premiership run… their ceiling has always been high

I'm talking injuries/suspended as bad as ours, 3 of 4 spine players is a lot worse than they have had to live with.

Turbo is not the player he was either, no great loss.

Idk turbo was on fire again before his injury against the cowboys.. scoring in every game and setting up tries too, (saying no great loss is wild he’s litteraly still their best player ) yes the casualty ward isn’t as bad as wests however they’ve been under strength against Parra , broncos and even the tigers they were missing their 1,9,10 and Fogarty was also out for 3 weeks… they haven’t even been full strength yet.. I think gotta give credit where it’s due winning 7 from 8 is impressive after their horrific start they had

I can't argue with that they keep winning anyone would be envious, but consider all the teams you mentioned all had injury problems probably affecting them more than Manly was at the time.

As for turbo I would back Koula to play any position he played and do it better so that makes him a better player.

Sure fair tigers and broncos did, (but broncos are a championship side) eels had more players out in Quantity but not quality…titans , cowboys, dragons, dolphins panthers etc didn’t have a heavy casualty ward at all…

You personally would back koula but how good would manly be having both on the field at the same time, that to me is what’s scary. Manly haven’t fielded their best 17 regardless is what I’m trying to say. They have had their depth tested the past few weeks and people who look beyond their own clubs bubble would know that.. I think they are more genuine then dolphins, cowboys and Newcastle… to be fair manly have always had a good side on paper. Lacking in forwards a little bit besides that they are fast and dangerous imo

No one has crystal balls they so far with Foran have had a long honeymoon period, let's see what happens when the gloss wears off or horror injury toll like ours at the moment hits them hard.

What's the fascination with them anyway, we are Tigers supporters here, your 2nd team or what.

I agree no one knows where they could end up but they too me are probably where they belong in the top 4…

No fascination , I didn’t create this thread asking about them. I’m just making sure people know that manly have had their injuries too even against us… they have better depth and a premiership is won by having a great top 30 not top 17.

I would’ve loved to see us at full strength play against them at magic round would’ve made for a really competitive game.

I said at the time of Seibold's sacking that it was strange. They didn't really give him a chance.

I'm a big fan of Foran the man and the player, so I'm glad it's going well for him at least.
